Swavesey Memorial Hall in August: having a clear-out? Don’t throw away electrical items in your bins! They can cause fires and contain precious materials needed for making new tech. Bag them up and bring them to the pink e-waste bin [insert location]. Items need to be small enough to fit through a slot about the size of an A4 sheet of paper. They will be taken to Wiser Recycling in Thetford to be sorted and dismantled, and the parts re-used or recycled.

We have hired kits for children to learn for free about and fix small electronic gadgets - with adult help they each have an age appropriate gadget to take apart, explore and fix. Guided supervision lets them understand the inner workings and science involved in such items as a console or torch and to be able to fix them. June 14 Swavesey Memorial Hall 10-2.
