‘COME AND SING,’ MOZART’S REQUIEM
This promises to be an incredibly exciting year for Tabernacle Morriston Choir, as the choir was founded 150 years ago in 1876; and we’d be thrilled if you would join us in celebrating this wonderful milestone throughout 2026.
We really look forward to seeing you for this special 150th milestone year on Saturday, 30th May, for our Mozart’s Requiem, ‘Come and Sing,’ workshop. Give yourself a treat by heading for the Sacred Heart Centre, Morriston, at 11:00am when Côr Tabernacl Treforys & Ffrindiau/Tabernacle Morriston Choir & Friends will welcome you, your family and friends. Rehearsals before and after a light buffet lunch (included in the £10 ticket price) will continue until the shared performance at around 3:15pm.
Gareth, our Musical Director said, ‘Everyone likes music so take the first step and join us in singing some beautiful sections of Mozart’s Requiem. Make a day of it and enjoy a buffet lunch at the Sacred Heart Centre Morriston. It will be a motivational, win-win opportunity and we can’t wait to share the sheer joy of music with you.’
Music makes people feel good and no previous musical experience is necessary. Whether you sing high or low, just join in with the section which best suits your voice. Bring your own copies of Mozart’s Requiem, if you have them, although spare scores will be available.
If you’d rather listen instead, for just £5 come along to socialise; tea and coffee will be available too.
Participation is guaranteed to inspire you and raise your musical awareness.
Starting at 11:00am, tickets cost just £10 and are available from David Morgans ([email protected]) on 07739 467494 and from choir members or at the door. Alternatively, tickets can be purchased from Paul Relf at Morriston Business Hub, 65, Woodfield Street, SA6 8BQ. Everyone’s welcome, spread the word!
