Wonky Pets Rescue

Wonky Pets Rescue We are a UK non destruct independent rescue organisation run solely by volunteers. We specialise in taking those animals with special needs.

Based in Swadlincote and surrounding area Wonky Pets Rescue - established 2012 we specialise in all sorts of rescue animals who have issues, whether they be physical, medical or psychological. We are a non destruct rescue which means that animals that are deemed unrehomable remain with us for life. We operate from foster homes mainly around Swadlincote. (some in Northamptonshire). We are all volun

teers and we receive no funding to help run the rescue, we rely solely on donations and our regular fundraising efforts to fund the treatment for the animals in our care. You can donate to our rescue via paypal at [email protected]

We are looking for more PLAYING members to join our amazing fundraising group! Wonky Pets Rescue Lottingo Fundraising Group

We have over 3100 members and just 140 played in the last game! For a stake of £10 over 5 weeks (just £2 a week) Kath scooped £700!

All you have to do is pick six numbers between 1 and 59 and send your payment of £10 via paypal to [email protected]. Bank transfer is also available.

We check your numbers every week against the lottery draw and will let you know if you have won! The first person to match all six members is the winner! It’s as simple as that!

RESERVED - Ruby is a small 3yr old cocker spaniel (8.8kg), she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated. She has only got one eye that was surgically removed before finding her way to us, she has also had a scale and polish on her teeth. She has a clean bill of health and will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Ruby came to us from the pound after being picked up as a stray and not claimed. She really is the sweetest girl but was petrified in the kennels and its clear that she hasn't been well socialised in the big wide world as she is a nervous girl and it just takes her some time to trust and get to know people.

Being in foster with us around lots of other dogs has really help Ruby find her feet and she has grown in confidence a lot since being here but new people, places and experiences can be scary for her and she can bark nervously when overwhelmed. There is zero malice with this tiny girl but she will need a patient but confident new home who can carry on her journey at the correct pace and not try and pressure her with too much too soon.

We are 100% seeking a home with another lively playful young dog for Ruby, she would love another young spaniel type to play with as she LOVES to run and play chase but we will consider other suitable matches as long as your dog is friendly, playful and neutered. She can happily live with dog savvy cats and isn't bothered by our equines or livestock. Ruby can live with gentle, quieter children aged 7yrs and over (younger visiting children would be absolutely fine too).

Ruby is strong on the lead for a small dog so will need someone fit and strong enough to hold her and also who can take her for great long walks, she has lots of energy. She is very loving in the home and loves to be near you and follow you around but she has been good being left for a few hours with other dogs for company and sleeps downstairs quietly at night. She travels ok in the car but is nervous about getting in.

She will need a home with a nice secure garden and a house located in a rural or quieter area, busy towns and roads would scare here.

Being fostered in Swadlincote, South Derby's but can be rehomed further afield subject to home check and adoption donation of £300

If you have the experience and patience and are ready to proceed with an adoption (we cant hold onto dogs for holidays etc) then please email us telling us all about your home offer in DETAIL, including your FULL ADDRESS and CONTACT NUMBER to [email protected]

Narla is a black and white female kitten born 1/3/26, she is vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance. She can return to one of our vets in Swadlincote, Tamworth or Northampton for a free 2nd vax and FREE spaying once old enough.

Narla came to us after her owner simply lost interest in her and was giving her away, she arrived scared and full of fleas and worms.

Since being with us she has really settled well with her fosterer and is now ready to find her forever home. Its rare that we home kittens singly but Narla was actually worried by other kittens when she arrived, she has settled more with adult cats now and ideally we would like a home with another gentle feline to help her. We will on this occasion consider homing her as the only cat as long as someone is around a lot and not out at work all day as she will need company.

She is eating well and using the litter tray. She will need a quieter home without small or noisy children and where she can be given some time to settle. She is a sweetie once she gets to know you.

She can live with a cat friendly dog and with gentle children aged 6yrs and over who are cat savvy

Narla will need a home WELL AWAY FROM ANY BUSY OR FAST ROADS with a nice safe garden to play in once old enough and spayed. Being fostered in Swadlincote, Derbys but can be rehomed further afield subject to home check and adoption donation of £100

If you can offer this little one her forever home please email us telling us all about your home offer including FULL ADDRESS AND CONTACT NUMBER to [email protected]

RESERVED - Toyo is around 3yrs old and is a large (5kg) super stunning ticked tabby and white male, he is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and had a clean bill of health. He will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Toyo was straying around an industrial site for several months, people were feeding him but he was looking more and more dishevelled and dirty and was obviously lost and so we were asked if we could offer him a space.

Toyo is an absolutely gorgeous boy, he is unusually stunning to look at but also has a lovely nature and is a chatty boy full of character. He has obviously been a pet just a shame no one was responsible enough to neuter and chip him then he wouldn't have found himself in rescue.

Toyo is loving his food and is eating very well, he has been spotless with the litter tray too. He can live with another female cat and could probably learn to live alongside a gentle cat friendly dog, we are happy to consider homes with sensible children aged 5yrs plus.

Toyo will need a home WELL AWAY FROM ANY BUSY OR FAST ROADS with a nice garden to play in once fully settled in.

Being fostered in Swadlincote but can be rehomed further afield to the right home subject to home check and adoption donation of £100

If you can offer this stunning lad a place on your sofa please email us telling us all about your home offer including your FULL ADDRESS AND CONTACT NUMBER to [email protected]

RESERVED - Parker (Tabby Male) and his sister Pasha (Black Female) are a pair of siblings seeking a home together. They were born on 5/4/26 and will be ready to find their forever home on 9/6/26 after they have had their first vaccination and microchip. They will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance and can return to one of our vets in Swadlincote, Tamworth or Northampton for a FREE 2nd vaccine and FREE neutering once old enough.

Parker and Pasha were born with us after their heavily pregnant mum arrived with us along with their aunty who also gave birth in our care! She has been a great mum and the kittens have been a picture of health and had the best care with us. The kittens have grown up in a foster environment so have been well handled from birth.

Parker and Pasha are two incredibly playful, affectionate kittens bursting with energy, just as kittens should be. They love nothing more than chasing each other around, and then curling up together for a cosy nap—before doing it all over again.

They are eating really well and enjoying Whiskas or Felix kitten in jelly and IAMS kitten dry food. They are really clean with the litter tray and used to wood pellet cat litter.

The kittens can be homed as the only cats in the home or they can live with other neutered felines, they are young enough to get used to living with a gentle cat friendly dog and we are happy to home to families with respectful children aged 4yrs and over.

They will need a home WELL AWAY FROM ANY BUSY OR FAST ROADS with a nice safe garden to play in once old enough and neutered.

Being fostered in Belton, Nr Loughborough, but can be rehomed further afield (just be mindful of returning for the vax and neutering) subject to home check and adoption donation of £100 per kitten.

If you can offer this gorgeous pair their forever home please email us telling us all about your home offer in detail including your FULL ADDRESS and CONTACT NUMBER to [email protected]
