WithYou For The Armed Forces Community

On Tuesday 25 August we welcomed Darren Doherty from the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) to our WithYou in North Somerset service to review the performance and impact of the Armed Forces Community programme, and to assess and see how ABF grant funding is supporting our work.

Andy Craze, WithYou’s National Armed Forces Community Programme Lead, said: “The visit went extremely well with Darren commenting on how informative the day had been. The visit was a great opportunity to showcase the progress we have made, the outcomes we are achieving and the difference ABF’s continued support is making to the Armed Forces Community.

“We are continually grateful for the support from our funders and look forward to sharing more very soon.”

"So, that’s a wrap for the day and for Christmas. Thank you once again to RAF St Mawgan; without your support, this would not have been possible. The final hampers were gratefully received and will have a significant impact on those in need this Christmas. As you can see, Bernard the elf was ever-present during the deliveries and even lent a hand wrapping presents. Another amazing day today, three more hampers delivered to veterans in need. Two were delivered today at our walk & talk session in Cornwall, run by our County Veteran Lead Mark who seems to have had a little help from Mr B our resident elf. Merry Christmas everyone. 🎄

Today we remember those in the Armed Forces who have lost their lives. We stand side by side with their friends and families during this time of reflection. 💙
