🌼 Blooming with Success! 🌼

Back in October, Academy Transformation Trust Further Education College's (ATTFE College) dedicated Employability learners planted daffodil bulbs and carefully decorated each pot in preparation for spring.

As the flowers began to bloom, they added a natural layer of moss to complete the arrangements and give them a beautiful, polished finish.

Last week, the group visited the Idlewells Shopping Centre to sell their lovely daffodil pots in support of Support to Shine CIC.

Thanks to their hard work and fantastic engagement with the public, they raised an amazing £139.00! 🎉

A huge well done to all the learners involved — a fantastic achievement and a wonderful example of community spirit. 🌱💛

🤝 Makers of Imaginary Worlds teamed up with Cobot Maker Space Mixed Reality Lab to introduce their newest robot — The Ring Master, who you'll have chance to meet this half-term!

On Saturday 1 November, there will also be a fantastic Build-a-Bot Workshop where you can join in to make your very own robot!

🍂✨ Here’s a little recap of what we’ve been up to at Youth Club recently!

🎨 We got creative with arts and crafts using apples, veggies, and more! Plus gave our windows a cosy autumn makeover.

🐔 We also had a blast spending time with the chickens (they’re definitely part of the gang now!).

So much fun these past few weeks, and we can’t wait to share more updates from our upcoming Youth Club sessions. Stay tuned! 🙌

🌻✨ Even though it’s been a bit chilly, the sun is still shining on Sutton, and so are the beautiful sunflowers that we planted as part of the Sutton in Bloom initiative!

These little bursts of sunshine are now blooming across town in places like:

A huge thank you to Ashfield District Council, especially David Marriott and Dale Orange for going the extra mile, and to the amazing Lara Clarke-Wardale who even volunteered her own time to help plant these plots.

The sunflowers are bringing so much colour and joy to our neighbourhood. Thank you for making Sutton shine brighter! 💛🌻

✨ How to donate: Drop off your books at our Coffee Morning sessions at the ATTFE College Community Hub in Idlewells Shopping Centre on Tuesdays (10am – 12pm) or Fridays (11am – 1pm).

In partnership with Academy Transformation Trust Further Education College, we’re holding a Harvest Festival-themed Service on Tuesday 7th October 2025, 10am–12pm at the ATTFE College Community Hub, Idlewells Shopping Centre.

The service will be led by Revd Peter Taylor from the Methodist churches, and everyone is welcome to join us 🙏💛

As part of the celebration, we’ll be collecting donations for the local Let's All Eat CIC food bank. Together we can make a difference for our community 🌾🥖
