Our Inner Wheel year is almost over and it’s certainly been a busy one. Today we went to visit Sutton Community Academy to handover donations of toiletries.

Bravery met bullets on the beaches of Normandy.

We live in the freedom they fought for.

Our group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at Coxmoor Golf Clubhouse at 11.00 a.m. when we usually have a speaker followed by a lovely lunch and chat at 1.00 p.m. Other times during the month garden centre visits and theatre visits are arranged. The latest being a trip to Nottingham Playhouse to see Barnum.
We also get involved in fundraising and helping out in the community wherever we are aware of a need.
If you’re a lady who likes to lunch or who just wants to dip her toe in the water and attend a meeting contact our secretary Carol [email protected]. Our next meeting is Tuesday 9th June. Persuade a friend and come together, you’ll be most welcome.

Thank you to Diane and Carolyn from Project Linus UK - Mansfield Notts for coming to tell us more about their wonderful group.
Project Linus started in America in 1995 and in 2000 in the UK and provides beautiful quilts to 0-18 year olds who are in need of a hug. The quilts and blankets are all handmade locally and are donated to children in our area.
Project Linus would like to hear from any local children’s group, organisation or school who would benefit from one of their quilts or blankets.
All materials are purchased by the group which can be quite expensive and anyone who would like to donate is encouraged to get in touch.
