Best fireworks to music show in the UK (slightly biased opinion). Get there early for Hands Butchers burgers and sausages from the BBQ, barista coffee and cake stalls, fun children’s activities and the bar. Some of the proceeds go to support Pambogo School in Mbeya Tanzania - a Grassroots linked school to Rowledge School. https://www.tickettailor.com/events/friendsofrowledgeschool/2443694

Last day in Isoso - the last location the Grassroots team visited to meet sponsored children - and the sun sets on another wonderful visit to Tanzania. How about setting up a standing order for £3.50 per month and start supporting one of these amazing kids. https://grassroots.org.uk/sponsor-a-child-today/

Grassroots team in Tanzania interviewed 360 families today. Some were in the very rural areas of Ndala and Mbegele. Then loads of children who had exams earlier in the week came to the central Grassroots location at Old Airport. Some tricky journeys and hard to take photos due to thunder and rain for an hour this afternoon. But always a lovely welcome from the children and families.

The Grassroots team (with people from Tanzania, UK and Kenya serving together to re-enrol all the sponsored children in Tanzania) visited Nsalaga and Swaya - rural areas near Mbeya with good church bases who run feeding programmes for Grassroots. Lots of frisbee fun!

This year we opened a new “location” based in The Stable Pentecostal Church in Samaria, near Mbeya, Tanzania. The team visited today and interviewed the Grassroots sponsored children. Two of the team, Sadie and Georgina, gave out wooly hats made by their grandmother! Visit Grassroots.org.uk/tanzania to find out how to sponsor a child.

Today the Grassroots team is meeting the sponsored children in 3 more locations (of the 22 official Grassroots centres around the town of Mbeya). Today we are in Iyunga, Ihombe and Mbalizi. And every child needs someone to sponsor them. £3.50 per month get them to school, with uniform, school kit, GP level medical care, weekly feeding programme and someone bothering to check if they are ok!
