Last week, our students enjoyed a fantastic outdoor learning experience with Gavin from On the B4nk, who visited to demonstrate how to build and manage a fire safely. Students had the opportunity to learn essential bushcraft skills before putting them into practice by toasting marshmallows, making delicious smores, and warming up with hot chocolate around the campfire. It was a wonderful session that combined practical learning, teamwork, and plenty of fun! 😊🍫☕

We're looking for a Support Worker to join our friendly team at Orchard House in Seaham on a permanent basis

£25,057.56 per annum (pro rata for Part Time)

6 weeks (including bank holidays) paid holiday increasing to 8 weeks

Company Pension Scheme/Life Assurance

Meals provided on shift

Company sick pay scheme up to 3 months full pay

Intensive 2-week Induction with continuous training and development

Tasker Social Hubbers Peter and James visited York Railway Museum yesterday, which they both thoroughly enjoyed. 🚂

Peter and James enjoyed looking at all the different trains through the years, seeing what they used to look like vs what they look like now.

A very Happy Birthday to Kevin! 🥳🎈

To celebrate the special occasion, Kevin and Michael headed to Aneesa for their tea and enjoyed a lovely meal together. 🍽️😊

The celebrations didn't stop there! The fantastic staff at Aneesa went the extra mile and surprised Kevin by bringing out a birthday cake and singing Happy Birthday. 🎂🎶 It was a lovely gesture that helped make Kevin's day even more special.

There were plenty of smiles, good food, and lots of laughter throughout the evening, making it a birthday to remember

🍂🍁 An Autumn Stroll at Rainton Meadows 🍁🍂

Michael and Tom enjoyed a lovely walk around Rainton Meadows, making the most of everything autumn has to offer. 😊

The lads enjoyed taking in the beautiful colours of the changing leaves, with shades of gold, orange, and red creating a stunning backdrop for their day out. 🍂🌳

There was a real autumnal feel in the air as they wandered around the nature reserve, enjoying the fresh air, peaceful surroundings, and the chance to slow down and appreciate the season. ☀️🍁

Warren started his work placement last week at Refuse Cafe in Chester-le-Street.
He met the team, helped in the warehouse and worked in the kitchen. He is going to be going once a week and looking forward to learning some new skills and how the cafe runs ☕️

Andrew from Tasker has set up his tyre business "A&J Tyres", he checks tyre pressures and treads to ensure your car is safe to drive. If your tyres are at the wrong pressure, he will take some out or inflate them to the correct PSI. He will give you advice on whether your tread is at a safe level or if you should be looking at some new tyres. He will also replace any missing dust caps!

Lisa "Andrew carried out a check on my tyres last week. I was very impressed with both the quality of his work as well as his excellent customer service.
He took his time explaining what he was doing and why and to answer any questions I had in a very clear and understandable way."

Sarah "Before beginning the tyre check on my car, Andrew explained what he was going to do and how he was going to use the equipment. Andrew also showed me how to check for the correct PSI level on the inside door of the car and recommended checking my tyre pressure once a month.

Andrew then went round each of my tyres, checking the current level, and calling out the numbers on his reader for Joyce to note down. After checking the initial PSI levels, he went round again to top up any of the tyres that were lower than the recommended amount. After he was satisfied that the tyres were all the correct level, he then checked the tread, which he was also happy with.

Andrew was kind and clear with his explanations to me and was confident answering any further questions I had.

I feel much more confident commuting to and from work now I know that my tyres are in tip top condition! Thank you Andrew! "
