Happy Wednesday! It's not often we post mid-week! Just to keep you on your toes of course!

What a lovely sunny morning it is here in Sudbury. We hope you are all having as good a Wednesday as you can and you can get to enjoy some sunshine ... even if only through the window.

We have been slowly advertising our forthcoming fundraising event, our Summer Quiz Night 1st August. With the wonderful news recently that we have been chosen as one of the Mayor of Sudbury's charities for this year, we obviously wish to support Adrian, the Mayor, and as many events of his as possible. His first fundraiser is .... a quiz night! So, we are going to delay ours for a little while and concentrate on highlighting and supporting Adrian's.

Therefore, if you fancy an Indian meal along with your quiz night, and wish to support No. 72 and The Kernos Centre, the details are below.

Good morning to you all from all of us here at Number 72!

Did you know today is the "Power of a Smile" day. It is true though, there is so much power in a smile. It can lift someone's day instantly, it may be the first smile they've seen in a while, it might be the sunshine someone needs on a cloudy day. We never know the depths a friendly kind smile can reach. Keep On Smilin'! (It even makes the person smiling feel good too, win win!)

This week at Number 72 our drop-in is open, as usual, Tuesday to Thursday 9.30 am until 12.30 pm. It is a fairly quite week in activities but still the same warm welcome and friendly smile (of course!). Thursday is primarily art day, with our resident art expert, but art work can be taken up on any day really.

Our Summer Quiz Night will take place on Saturday 1st August, 6 for 6.30 pm in All Saints Hall, Church Street, Sudbury. Bring a team of up to 6 or come along and we can team you up. £4.00 per person. Bring your own drinks n nibbles. Give us a call on 01787 310610, message or comment here, or email [email protected] if you wish to book a place. Small prize for the winning team! Raffle on the night. Profits will go towards us here at Number 72, The Family & Community Network, helping us to continue supporting those who need us in the local community.

Wow, what kindness. Thank you to Tori and all her customers who supported Phoenix Hair Design's charity haircut day on 8th May. We were so touched and thankful to receive this generous donation yesterday. It will most definitely go towards Number 72 continuing to support supporting those in the community who need our help.

Happy Monday afternoon! I'm rather late in the day posting this, whoops!

Tomorrow at Number 72 we have our craft ladies with us. They will be making jewellery. Please do pop along if you would like to take part. Free entrance and open to all.

On Wednesday we have the lovely Pet Therapy doggie, Rio, and her owner coming to visit us. Why not come down to see us for some calming, canine cuddles, and cuppa & cake, too!

Our drop-in is open 9.30 am until 12.30 pm. If you would like some 1-to-1 time, then making an appointment is always the best option.

Good morning to you! It's business as normal again after the half-term break.

Drop-In at Number 72 opens tomorrow, Tuesday, until Thursday, all days 9.30 am until 12.30 pm. Do come along and see us. Cuppa, conversation, calmness, company .... and sometimes cake, too! We have our normal art and crafts on offer, with our resident artist in situ on Thursday if you need any advice.

We have some good news to announce today! We are so excited to have been chosen by the incoming Mayor of Sudbury as one of his chosen charities. We, along with The Kernos Centre, are honoured to be one of his Charities of the Year. The photo below shows Jim Stewart, our Chair of Trustees, and Clare Gillett, our Drop-In Lead, attending the mayoral inauguration evening recently. We send Adrian Stohr every blessing in his forthcoming year of office. Watch this space for forthcoming information on this wonderful news.

Another week has come round, wow, the days are moving quickly by.

Hello from us all at No. 72. We hope you had a nice weekend and are now raring to go! Do you know it is National Learning at Work Week? Well they say every day's a school day, eh!

Once a month, beginning soon, we will have our two lovely multi-talented art n craft ladies with us again. Is there anything you have always wanted to learn and perhaps they can teach you? Their skills include so far decoupage, card, jewellery and decoration making, book mark creations ... do let us know and pop along to see what you can learn. Their dates to follow.

Next week is half-term and we will be closed. Our last drop-in this week is Thursday and drop-in will re-start on Tuesday 2nd June, usual times, 9.30 am - 12.30 pm.

Good morning to you all on this (chilly) Monday of Mental Health Awareness Week. This awareness week runs from today, 11th, until 17th May and the theme for it is "action"; emphasizing the importance of taking action to support good mental health.

If you are struggling in any way, shape or form, do come into see us here at No. 72. You can have a private chat or spend time with others, talking, listening, laughing, over coffee and biscuits.

On Wednesday we have the lovely Rio with us, our Pet Therapy Doggie. Come along for some restorative calming canine cuddles. We have our normal art opportunities too, including on Thursday, our resident artist is here to give artistic guidance if needed.

On 27th May, we have our next fund-raising venture. At the Marks Tey venue, may we present "The No. 72 Elegant Boot Bazaar". Think curated boot fair / vintage wares / chic tasteful garments / hand-picked and select homewares. If you have a polished, snappy and sharp item we could sell for our funds, do please get in touch with us (01787 310610). Thank you.

A very good morning from us all here at No. 72 - it's a later in the week one due to our lovely May Day bank holiday!

This shorter week the No. 72 drop-in is open Wednesday, today and Thursday 9.30 am until 12.30 pm. Come along for a cuppa, company, cake ... and bring your art project with you if you like, to gain inspiration from our arty environment. It is National Beverage Day today ... so it would be rude not to partake in that extra cuppa, wouldn't it!

A very big thank you to - Stroll Your Way to Fitness - Sudbury who have kindly donated to us some funds from their recent fund-raising initiatives. THANK YOU so much Sudbury Strollers.
