Well, that’s a wrap on our first ever Strathaven Whisky Festival!

Hope the heads aren’t too sore today.

I wanted to share a few proper thank‑yous that might have been missed in the excitement yesterday.

A huge thank you to Morgan and all the staff at the Strathaven Hotel They were incredibly accommodating throughout the build‑up and on the day itself. The food went down brilliantly too—so many people commented on how good it was.

Another big thank you to Stewart at JSB Media Services. Stewart has been a long‑standing supporter of the Strathaven Round Table, always turning up to capture amazing photos and videos and giving so much back to the community. If you haven’t seen his work, check out JSB Media Services on social media, his content is incredible. I’m sure we’ll see some great footage and photos from the festival very soon.

To all of our exhibitors—thank you for supporting Strathaven’s first ever whisky festival. I think we can all agree we sampled some exceptional drams yesterday. We truly appreciate you giving up your time and sharing your whiskies with us.

A special thank you to Kirsty and the whole team at Select Drams Ltd. They worked tirelessly over the last few months—organising exhibitors, sorting glasses, helping promote the event, and so much more. From the moment the idea was mentioned, they were all in, wanting to help raise as much as possible for the community. An amazing team — thank you so much.

Finally, thank you to every single one of you who bought a ticket and came along. This event was only an idea four months ago, and we’ve been blown away by the response. Demand was so high we could have sold out twice over.

Every bit of profit from yesterday goes straight back into the community—supporting schools, nurseries, food banks, and many other local causes that genuinely need the help. Your support makes a real difference, and we’re incredibly grateful on behalf of everyone at the Strathaven & District Round Table

We hope you enjoyed the day, and keep an eye out over the next few months as we’ll be releasing a save the date for next year!

🥃 Strathaven Whisky Festival – Tomorrow! 🥃

We can’t wait to welcome you all tomorrow at the Strathaven Hotel from 1pm to 4pm.

With 20 exhibitors, a wide variety of whiskies to sample, bottles available to purchase on the day with a discount from Select Drams, great food and our raffle featuring some fantastic prizes, it’s set to be a brilliant afternoon.

Raffle tickets will be available at £5 per strip, with prizes including overnight stays, afternoon tea and some exceptional bottles. All funds raises go directly back to the community.

As the event is now sold out, we can only admit guests with a valid ticket, so please arrive in good time and have your tickets ready to be scanned on arrival.

🥃 Vendor Spotlight – Alistair Walker Whisky Company 🥃

We’re delighted to introduce our next vendor, Alistair Walker Whisky Company, to the Strathaven Whisky Festival lineup.

Founded in 2018 and based in Central Scotland, the company was created by Alistair Walker after nearly two decades working in the Scotch whisky industry. They specialise as an independent bottler, sourcing exceptional casks from distilleries across Scotland and bottling them as single casks under their well-known Infrequent Flyers range.

We are looking forward to welcoming you on 28th February 2026, 1pm – 4pm at the Strathaven Hotel to sample what our amazing vendors have to offer.

🥃 Strathaven Whisky Festival — SOLD OUT! 🥃

We are absolutely blown away to share that our first ever Strathaven Whisky Festival has officially sold out — in just 4 weeks. What an incredible response. We genuinely cannot thank everyone enough for getting behind this brand‑new event and showing such unbelievable support.

To every single person who bought a ticket, shared a post, told a friend, or helped spread the word — thank you. You’ve helped turn a small idea we had into something truly special for the town.

A huge thank you as well to Select Drams Ltd for partnering with us and helping with the organising. Your support, guidance, and enthusiasm have been massively appreciated and have played a big part in making this event possible.

And it means even more because every penny of profit from this event goes straight back into the local community, supporting causes and projects that make a real difference. Your support doesn’t just make the festival possible — it helps so many people across Strathaven and the surrounding area.

🥃 Vendor Spotlight: CVH Spirits 🥃

We’re delighted to confirm CVH Spirits as our next vendor for the Strathaven Whisky Festival — and they’re bringing an incredible trio of distilleries with them: Deanston, Bunnahabhain, and Tobermory.

Representing some of Scotland’s most characterful distilleries, CVH Spirits showcases the diversity of Highland and Island whisky — from unpeated coastal elegance to rich, full-bodied Highland malts.

Here’s a taste of what festival‑goers can look forward to:

- Deanston — A proudly handcrafted Highland whisky, known for its honeyed sweetness, waxy texture, and warm, approachable character.
- Bunnahabhain — The unpeated jewel of Islay, offering coastal, nutty, and sherry‑rich drams that stand apart from the island’s smoky reputation.
