A statement from Kevin Blundell and Nick Merritt:
As Chairman and Vice-Chairman, two of the three Directors of the CIC, we were shocked to find an EGM had been called without being discussed with us first.
We believe that, as always, we have only acted in the best interests of the CIC and the FC, this may not have always been to the agreement of all our patrons and members but as volunteers, that has always been our only goal. That is why we both, alongside our partners, spend so much time in doing what we do and what we have done over the years.
We will address all members and attendees at the coming meeting on Sunday as part of the opening address at the meeting as would be constitutionally correct of us.
