Lily Webster Memorial Fund
Lily Webster Memorial Fund works with Cardiac Risk in the Young to bring heart screening to stowmarket for young people aged between 14 and 35. Lily was a happy lively fun loving teenager who attended Stowmarket High School, in January 2012 Lily went to school as normal and during a PE lesson she collapsed and could not be revived, we later found that she had died of Sud

den Adult Death Syndrome. Lily is very much missed by her family and friends and so we come together to try and raise awareness of this condition which kills approximately 12 young people a week here in the UK. We have arranged for the screening team from CRY to come to Stowmarket in July 2014 for 2 days of screening. This costs around £30 per person we would like to be able to fund this for many years to come, so we welcome your support.

Dates for your calendars
Screening will take place on July 1st and 2nd at Stowmarket High school.
Booking will be opening on Wednesday 7th June on www.testmyheart.org.uk
This is likely to be our last opportunity for screening for a couple of years due to costs. Each day now costs £6500 to book and after this years screening our balance will be £1600 so will take some time to have enough to book further days.
Once again we would like to thank everyone who fundraises to allow this to happen.

Today the amazing Graeme’s are off on the first leg of their bike ride Lands End to John O’Groats
We are overwhelmed by the generosity of others using their time and energy on supporting us and riding in memory of Lily
This is especially true of these guys.
Graeme Train a generous, full of energy man with an infectious love of life and smile has recently suffered the impossible loss of his wonderful daughter Jaqui after a very short illness aged just 30 years. Jacqui was his first sponsor for this event and so this ride is definitely for her and we continue to think of all of the Train family.
Graeme King is a man we have yet to meet as he hails from ‘up north’ but is in it with his friend, what a great show of the kind of guy he is.
So please think of sponsoring them this money is really needed to fund a screening session next year as the pot here is empty and this will allow us to bring 1 or 2 days next year.
If you have had screening think of it as playing forward from the fundraisers before it now costs £60 a person for screening so all donations are so valuable.
We will keep you posted on their journey as I know all our supporters will want to wish them the very best of luck and easy riding.

Help Graeme Train raise money to support Cardiac Risk in the Young

Booking opens tomorrow at 10am. Please share so these sessions can be fully used.
