Project Gambia Project Gambia is a registered charity supporting poor communities and schools in The Gambia However the project has become much more than that.

When first established in 2007 the aim of the project was for students, staff, and members of our local community to travel to The Gambia for a week each year to experience first hand life in a developing country, so that they become aware of their responsibilities as global citizens, develop a respect and appreciation of their own culture, and make a difference to the world in which they live. Working alongside Gambian schools and communities we go beyond ‘handouts’ to provide the education, support and funding needed for people to become independent, and find a sustainable solution to poverty.

Congratulations to some of our sponsor children who achieved best performance at Bright Minds School. In 2024 we supported Florence Bernard in the foundation of the school, which is going from strength to strength. We are always looking for sponsors to help more needy children to have an education. Please contact Bev Hodt: [email protected] for more information. 🇬🇲
