Stonehouse Climate Action

Stonehouse Climate Action Stonehouse Community Climate Action Forum has been formed to see how we can improve our environment by acting together locally. More trees and wildlife?

Our aim is to enable and encourage projects from within the community to reach a net zero carbon position by 2030. Cleaner air near schools? Safer cycling? Better public transport? Easier to shop with the environment in mind? What else can we do locally to reduce our carbon footprint and our impact on the environment? Get involved with organised projects or we can provide help and support somethin

g you have in mind. We would love to hear from you - contact [email protected]

STOP PRESS - Stonehouse Veg Stall on the Town Green every Saturday 10.30-2pm

"As a SCCAF member desperate for access in Stonehouse to unwrapped vegetables, I am glad I was able to help Allan of the Stonehouse Veg Stall to negotiate the use of the area adjacent to the Town Green (hardstanding next to the pharmacy), so that his stall can continue on Saturday mornings, 10.30/11am – 2pm.

The stall’s growing band of loyal customers hope Allan and dad Peter will bring us an extended range of locally sourced veg as the seasons allow. Some fruit comes in punnets but paper bags are available and punnets are reused. Veg boxes can be arranged for pickup at the stall by arrangement. Buying produce from this stall is a delight both for its quality and the lively banter involved. See for yourself and enjoy supporting this green enterprise". Liz Green
