🌍 Hollie’s Borneo Fundraising Update 🌿

Over the last month, Hollie has been busy raising funds for her upcoming expedition, and we wanted to share a quick update and say a big thank you.

She has been very fortunate to receive support and opportunities from several local organisations, including Hanford Co-op, Tesco Trent Vale, and Hanford Cricket Club.

Hanford Co-op kindly provided space for Hollie to sell her handmade items during both Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. Her bespoke handmade flowers proved especially popular — and are still available to purchase through her online shop for anyone interested.

Tesco Trent Vale offered the opportunity for a bucket collection, which turned out to be a fantastic day with a great amount raised towards the expedition.

Hanford Cricket Club also supported Hollie by offering her a stall at their market day, giving her another chance to showcase and sell her handmade flowers.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported, donated, or taken the time to stop and chat — it really does make a difference and is hugely appreciated. 💛

🎄 Christmas Tree Collection Fundraiser (Trentham - Stoke Area) 🎄
One of my fundraising ideas is to collect unwanted real Christmas trees after the festive season. I’ll collect your tree directly from your home, and with the support of local companies, all trees will be responsibly and environmentally recycled ♻️

📅 Collection dates: 26 December – 18 January 2026
💷 Cost: £5 per tree
📍 Area covered: Within the ST4 8 postcode

♻️ All collected trees will be recycled sustainably, helping the environment and keeping trees out of landfill.

🌍 My Borneo Expedition – August 2027 🌿
Hi everyone! I’m really excited to share something that feels like a big step on my journey. In August 2027, I’ll be travelling to Borneo with Camps International for a Scuba and Community Expedition.
This opportunity brings together so many things I care about — travel, protecting the environment, learning about wildlife, and understanding how communities and nature can support each other. I’m still learning and discovering the world, and this expedition feels like a meaningful way to do that.
Borneo is home to incredible rainforests, coral reefs, and unique wildlife such as orangutans. During the expedition, I’ll be taking part in conservation and community projects, learning directly from local people, and completing my PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Course so I can explore marine life responsibly.
Camps International’s strong values around sustainability, community partnership, and long-term impact really inspire me and match what I want to learn more about.
To take part, I need to raise £5,500, and I’ll be fundraising between now and the trip.
