💡 Who can apply for a 2026 Community Grant?

Just a quick reminder 💬

Earlier this week we shared that 2026 Community Grant applications are now open and we don’t want anyone in Baddeley Green or Stockton Brook to miss out.

If you’re part of a local group, school, sports team, or you’re an individual who could benefit from a grant, now is the time to start thinking about applying.

You don’t need a big organisation or a complicated project.
What matters most is that the funding will benefit our local community.

Applications will stay open until April, so there’s no rush but it’s a good idea to get the conversation started early.

📩 If you’d like more information or aren’t sure if you’re eligible, please message the page and we’ll be happy to help.

Please feel free to share this post you never know who might need to see it.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Vice-Chair, former Secretary, and long-standing Committee Member, Barbara Morris.

Barbara joined the Baddeley Green & Stockton Brook Community Association committee in 2013 alongside her husband, John. Two years later, she took on the vital role of Secretary from the much-respected Lilian Fowler.

Barbara’s appointment coincided with the launch of the Baddeley Green & Stockton Brook Community Fund, where she played an instrumental role. For eight years, she managed the application and presentation processes with exceptional care, dedication, and professionalism.

Barbara was so thorough and efficient that her successors, Tracy Wingrove and Lesley Blowers, were quick to say that “it needed two of us to fill her shoes.” A true testament to the impact she made.

Our love and heartfelt best wishes go to John, who will remain a valued member of our committee, to their children, and to the wider Morris family.

Barbara’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 18th February at 1pm at St Philip and St James’ Church, Milton, followed by refreshments at Milton Bowling Club. All friends are very welcome to attend.

The photographs of Barbara were chosen by John. The first, with family, was taken after John was presented with an OBE in 2011. The second is John’s favourite, taken during an advertisement photo-shoot at the Sentinel.
