We are the Lightwood Community Group, and we're passionately working on 'Project Green not Greed' to protect our local greenbelt land against its inclusion by Stoke-on-Trent City Council in their Local Plan (BL1) for Stoke-on-Trent.
Our aim is to object to the current plans for building on this important green space. The residents of Lightwood, Rough Close, Cocknage, Meir Heath, Meir Park, Stone, Longton, Newstead, Blurton, Trentham and other surrounding areas will benefit from our efforts, as we believe preserving this land is vital for the wellbeing of our community.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will help us make a stronger case for protecting our greenbelt. Please consider backing our project or sharing it with others who care about safeguarding our local environment.
