💙 Keeping Our Hospital Heroes Hydrated! 💙

With temperatures soaring, the Better Together team wanted to do something simple to support those working tirelessly behind the scenes at Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Today, we donated crates of bottles of water to the hospital porters to help keep them hydrated as they continued their vital work across the hospital. 🚰☀️ Thank you to all our amazing porters for everything you do for patients, visitors, and staff every single day.

💚 We would also like to remind all hospital staff that the Better Together Community Fridge, located in the Hospital Chaplaincy, is available to support anyone who may need a little extra help. The free food is accessible to all Royal Stoke Hospital staff, providing confidential support during difficult times.

No one should have to face hardship alone. If you need support, please know we are here for you.

Together, we can make a difference, one act of kindness at a time. 💚

📢 Sensory Session Cancelled – Friday 26th June 📢

Due to the hot weather and high temperatures forecast, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Sensory Session on Friday 26th June.

The safety, comfort, and wellbeing of all the children and families who attend our sessions is our top priority, and we feel this is the best decision under the current conditions.

We apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to our sensory sessions as soon as possible.

If you have already booked, please keep an eye on our page for further updates regarding your booking.

🌞🚫 Session Cancelled – Thursday, 25th June 2026 🚫🌞

Due to the extreme temperatures forecast and current health advice, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow's Chronic Pain & Fibromyalgia Support Group and Welcome Warm Space at Community HQ, Woodberry Close, ST4 5LU.

The health and wellbeing of our members, volunteers, and visitors is always our priority. With many people living with conditions that can be affected by extreme heat, we feel it is safest to avoid unnecessary travel and gatherings during the hottest part of the day.

Please stay safe, keep hydrated, and look after yourselves and one another.

Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Please make sure your dogs have access to plenty of fresh water, shade, and a cool place to rest. Avoid walking during the hottest parts of the day and keep an eye out for signs of overheating.
