Forest Park District is the most Southern District of Stoke on Trent North Division, situation within Girlguiding Staffordshire. We offer Rainbows (Girls aged 5-7 years) Brownies (Girls aged 7-11 years) and Guides (aged 10-15 years) across the areas of Smallthorne, Northwood and Joiners Square. Rainbows, Brownies and Guides allows girls to develop in girl only spaces whilst having fun and exploring new opportunities. The opportunities that are offered vary through the sections and are designed to allow the girls to face their fears, test their imagination and grow and develop in to kind and considerate individuals, most of all whilst having fun. If you are interested in a young person joining visit: www.girlguiding.org.uk/joinus to register her and this will allow you to see the locations, time and dates of units within the area. Girlguiding is the largest voluntary organisation for girls and women internationally and we are always after more adult volunteers to help within our current units, and with our aims of opening new units across the area. The commitment from adult volunteers varies and depends on what you are prepared to give, anything from an occasional helper (helping with unit meetings, trips and holiday) to a full blown unit leader (responsible for the running management of the unit and all who are in it) it might sound daunting, it is fun for all.
