Thank goodness hogs can't count

Rhaelyn has given birth to 4 gorgeous healthy hoglets, she is a very experienced and protective mum, the same day we got brought a newborn, the nest had gotten disturbed and 2 siblings had already passed away, so I spent the day getting the hoglet hydrated, toileting and feeding, then took the plunge and very carefully taking lots of precautions introduced the orphaned hoglet to the existing group. Momma has taken the hoglet on as her own.

If you look closely, you may be able to spot the hoglet thats not part of the original pack. But well done momma, they have gone down to the maternity shed for some time out, peace and quiet.

Thank you once again to super knitter Sue Arnold, you are a great supporter of the rescue, not just cash that will go towards the continuing vets fees, but hedgehog food too. Your knitted hedgehogs are very popular.🦔💖

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sad passing of Gillian Downes last week. Gillian has followed and supported the rescue for many many years, she released a few hedgehogs for us and helped out in many ways. She loved hedgehogs deeply and always enjoyed the visiting hedgehogs in her garden. Our love and condolences to Gillians family, she will be sorely missed 💔
