Heaton Mersey Youth Festival

Heaton Mersey Youth Festival HMYF owns over 200 cups and trophies, which are presented to our winners along with certificates and festival medals.

A celebration of solo and choral music, with instrumental and vocal classes, HMYF provides a public platform for performance in a friendly, relaxed and non-competitive environment. The principal aim of the Festival is to provide a public platform for performance in a friendly, relaxed yet competitive environment, thus developing personal confidence whilst striving for success. Equally important, a

ll candidates know they will receive expert, unbiased and independent criticism of their efforts from carefully chosen, first class adjudicators who will ensure the maintenance of high standards.

Looking ahead!

Our Celebration Concert this year will be on Saturday 14th November and next year’s Festival will be held on Saturday 13th March for Music and Sunday 14th March for Speech & Drama. All events at St Paul's, Heaton Moor

We’re very excited to have Speech & Drama return to HMYF again! Our adjudicator will be Annabel Anderson who is a very experienced LAMDA examiner and teacher, she will offer feedback and advice in our non-competitive classes.

You can still make your individual entries for our friendly non-competitive festival on March 14th - classes at 10am and 11am are full but there are some spaces at 9am and in the afternoon.
