Parents everywhere should hear this Kobe Bryant story. 💜

Not because it’s famous.
Because it shows the kind of example kids actually remember.

After a long NBA day, Kobe went to watch his daughter Gianna’s AAU practice. The drills ended. Parents packed up. The gym started to empty. Most people would’ve left.

Kobe didn’t.

He noticed a few girls still on the court, frustrated, missing shots, trying to get better. So he walked over and asked one simple question.

“What are you working on?”

That question turned into nearly 90 minutes.

No cameras. No media. No attention. Just Kobe staying behind to teach. He broke down footwork step by step. Fixed shooting mechanics one rep at a time. Explained angles, spacing, and timing. Slowed them down when they rushed. Made them repeat drills until it was right. Calm. Patient. Fully present 🏀

One parent later said it felt like a private NBA masterclass, and that Kobe cared about every single kid in the gym.

At the end, one girl apologized and said she wasn’t very good yet. Kobe stopped her, looked her in the eyes, and said, “You’re not bad. You’re just early. And early is a beautiful place to be.” Then he added something they never forgot.

“If you love this game and work the right way, it will always love you back.”

That’s the Kobe parents want their kids to learn from.
Not the trophies.
Not the fame.
The patience. The standards. The belief in effort.
