A really fantastic day - despite the rain!
At last, work is starting at St Nicholas’ Church Hall - refurbishing 2 garages and erecting an outside lean-to for our Thames Ditton Men in Sheds group to work in the fresh air as well.
Thank you to all those who have made this possible - for our Men in Sheds to continue in the village. They are so looking forward to moving into their new home to work on projects.
Thank you, from us .welchb and to everyone who so generously donated to the refurbishment project via our Just Giving page, plus attended our fundraising events and bought raffle tickets.
We could not have done this without the amazing support from Thames Ditton residents.
Plus more thanks to those who gave grants towards the work.
The Thames Ditton Men in Sheds can’t wait to move into their new ‘shed’ and be part of the St Nicks community hub in the ❤️ of the village

The making of the 10th Anniversary Thames Ditton in Bloom Artwork installation on Thames Ditton Station celebrating 10 years of the garden.
Huge thanks to Charlie and Ruby from Moss for doing such a brilliant job - it took over 8 hours to put together the 37 artwork panels and erect them on what was formerly a very boring grey metal passenger shelter.
Once they’d finished,
Charlie and Ruby wrapped it up in black fabric and tape in readiness for the grand unveiling on Sunday, 17 May, 2026.
What a fantastic transformation! welchb
