1st Stalmine Scouts We are 1st Stalmine Scouts, part of the UK's largest mixed-youth organisation.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with the valuable skills for life they need to succeed.

What a way to end our year…

Beavers made pancakes on our new hot plate followed by a badge presentation and investing 3 new members. Cubs set off on a ‘hike’ from the Village Hall to Lakeside Bistro, ending their night with ice cream. Scouts had a chippy walk from Hambleton chippy where they collected their chips back to the Village Hall for badges to be awarded.

See you all when we return in September. Thanks to our volunteers Ben, Charlotte, Lee, Graham, Alex & Harry along with our fabulous young leaders Lulu, Lizzie, Ebony, Seb, Logan, Sam and Ellen for making the last term possible for our 1st Stalmine family.

Our older scouts took part in the West Lancs Bowlander Competition this weekend. A great expedition weekend with a route covering almost 30km to hike over the 2 days.
Thank you to our scout leader Lee who supported the team and celebrated his 60th birthday with them too.

Delighted to announce we have recently been awarded a grant by the 3R Foundation to purchase outdoor cooking equipment.
The grant has been used to purchase:-
3 trangias
1 Dutch oven
Some outdoor cooking pots
A gas griddle - perfect for our next camp

Everything will be used by our young people whilst on group camps or expeditions. We are so grateful for this support 😊
