🎉 That’s a wrap on our 2026 Car Boots! 🚗💨

Yesterday was our last car boot of the year, and what a brilliant year it’s been! ❤️

Across our three car boots this year, we have raised £880 for the Carnival! 🙌🎉

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported us by coming along, whether you’ve been a buyer, a seller, or both! Every bit of support makes such a difference. 🥰

A massive thank you also goes to all of our wonderful volunteers who have given up their mornings to help out. Those very early starts definitely deserve a medal! ☕😂

But our biggest thank you has to go to Tony 👏❤️ Tony organises the car boots and is also responsible for parking all the cars in his wonderfully regimented style! 😂🚗🚙🚘

We couldn’t do it without you all, and we’re so grateful for everyone who has helped make the car boots such a success.

A THANK YOU 🤩

This year’s carnival was another fantastic success, with excellent feedback from attendees, participants and the wider community. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the day, and the positive comments we have received are a real testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.

I would like to extend my thanks to every member of the Carnival Committee for the time, commitment and enthusiasm they have given throughout the year. I’d also like to thank the volunteers who gave up their time on the day, or in the lead-up to the event, to help make the carnival such a success. Your support is invaluable, and without the combined efforts of volunteers, sponsors, supporters, suppliers, trade stands, and local community, this event simply would not be possible. Thank you all for helping make this year’s carnival one to be proud of.

The final job of the 2026 Carnival season is to take the bunting down. A crack team of 3 took a couple of hours to take it all down and pack it away after being checked, ready for the start of the 2027 season.

The phone has now been handed into Bishop Auckland Police Station.

A phone was handed into the information tent towards the end of the day yesterday.

We would like to return it to its rightful owner and if you could share this post to anyone who may have lost a phone.
