🏠 Home requirements: Boomer can live with dog savvy children, but does need a pet free home. He also needs access to his own private garden.
✨Boomer is a larger-than-life character with an even bigger heart. At just 3 years old, this affectionate boy is searching for a home that understands his needs and can offer him the love, structure, and continued training he deserves.
❤️If Boomer had his way, he would spend all day cuddling. He has absolutely no awareness of his size and firmly believes he is a lap dog! Whether he’s climbing onto your lap, leaning into you for fusses, or standing on his hind legs to wrap his paws around your waist for one of his famous hugs, Boomer’s favourite place is right beside his people.
💜Food is another great love of Boomer’s. Every mealtime is met with pure joy as he patiently waits with hopeful eyes before bouncing around in excitement when his dinner arrives. Despite his enthusiasm, he has lovely manners and waits nicely for his food to be put down. He’s not fussy either—Boomer is happy with anything edible!
💖A playful and fun-loving boy, Boomer is absolutely ball mad. Whether it’s fetch in the garden, a game of tug, or proudly carrying a ball around the house, he could happily play for hours. He also enjoys enrichment activities such as snuffle mats, lick mats, treat-dispensing toys, and searching for treats hidden in long grass.
💛Around the home, Boomer is a dream. He is fully toilet trained, sleeps soundly through the night, isn’t destructive, and can be left alone for a few hours without issue. He spends his time relaxing, playing independently, or snoozing until his people return home.
🧡Boomer has been lucky enough to enjoy many adventures. From beach trips and holidays in Devon to school runs and family movie nights, he has created some wonderful memories. He especially loves being included in family life, whether that’s cuddling up on the bed during a film or enjoying a pup cup from a local café, usually ending up with cream all over his face!
He travels reasonably well and settles nicely on longer journeys, happily lying down and relaxing once he’s settled.
💙Boomer knows several commands including sit, down, stay, paw, spin, and off, and he responds well to positive reinforcement. He understands the marker word “yes!” and enjoys learning when rewarded.
💕The perfect home for Boomer will understand that while he has many wonderful qualities, he also struggles with reactivity. This is something that will require ongoing management, understanding, and continued training. For this reason, Boomer is looking for an experienced home with someone who has previous experience handling reactive dogs and can continue helping him build confidence and succeed.

For UK-based dogs, fosterers and adopters may be asked to assist with transport by meeting part way. UK dogs have a reduced adoption fee, and fosterers may be reimbursed for fuel costs. Transport can be arranged if needed at the adopter’s expense.
