ANNOUNCEMENT FOR TOMORROW'S SESSION

Apologies all for the last minute post and the previous announcement that the session would be on as normal.

Due to safety concerns with the heat and limited staff availability the session tomorrow is CANCELLED. Please all stay cool and hydrated.

All regular attendees for the session have been informed, our first cancellation in 6 months and hopefully our last for a while. We look forward to seeing you all next week!

Notice for next 5 weeks!

Sessions are on as normal but please note that as it is the six weeks holiday the noise and foot traffic in the venue has increased. Anyone coming is welcome to bring their ear defenders if they find them useful.

Not to worry if you don't think you can make it for these weeks, we will be on ever week after the holiday too!

Yes! The meetup is on as normal tomorrow, even with the heat!

2-4pm at Staffordshire Community Hub.

As a social group who have strong links with the LGBTQ+, with many of our members being in the community it would be a disservice to them and the moral foundations of our group to be silent.

Everything the LGBTQ+ has campaigned so bravely for should not be taken away. Its on us as a society to understand eachother and be accepting.

We fully support our friends at Stafford Pride and hope this is resolved quickly. Neuro Connects will always be a safe and accepting place and those in the LGBTQ+

We have today written to the “Leader of the Council” and in no uncertain terms stated this must change immediately & We will not back down.

Check out this event for later in June hosted by our friends at Nas Stafford Branch

FREE event - meet other parents and carers and NAS volunteers for a chat, a drink (and cake!)and a chance to catch up. Zooms in the evening are great, but it's also lovely to do something face to faced, especially for people who can't do evenings.

The timing can't suit everyone but we hope to see some of you there. Please indicate if you are intereted so we have an idea of numbers for the refreshments.

Huge thank you to That Little Bookshop for reaching out to us to get some of our cards. I think we delivered them faster than any same day shipping service!

I frequent them so it was a fantastic suprise that they are interested in what we do. We had a great conversation and without spoiling anything, they have some great ideas in the works for Neurodivergent people in Stafford! So please give them a follow!

If your place of work or business would like some of our cards to spread the word of our weekly Neurodivergent Social group, comment and let us know!

Some Neurodivergent people struggle with new places and venues. After a few requests, to minimise the unknown, here is a walk through to our meetup location from the street to the seating area.

As always we are here every Thursday 2-4pm Staffordshire Community Hub

We now have business cards!

If you work with people who would benefit from the group, have access to a space like a shop, doctor's office or a community centre where you could put a few to help us spread the word, let us know and we will give you some BUSINESS CARDS!

Announcement for this week's session! (9th April)

Our hosts at the Staffordshire Community Hub are going through some renovations this week and are closed to the public HOWEVER they are still happy for our session to go ahead. What this means for you:
The doors will be locked so either come to the start of the session when the session starts at 2 OR message our account on facebook prior to the session so we know what time to let you in!

Things will return to normal the following week! (16th April Onwards)
