It’s Volunteers’ Week this week and we’d just like like to say Thank You to all our amazing volunteers! We have more than 70 volunteers without whom we simply couldn’t run the Guernsey Welfare Service. They do a variety of things including collecting, sorting and delivering food as well as Front of House - taking care of everyone who visits us. Here are some photos of just some of our fabulous team, but we’re so grateful to them all. 💚

If you know anyone with dementia this is worth going to. 💚

We’re excited to share that, for Dementia Awareness Week this year, we’ll be offering taster sessions of some of the activities we run throughout the year — with fantastic support from Guernsey Sports Commission, Guernsey Mobility, Let’s Go, and the Guernsey Volleyball Association.

Carers will also have the chance to chat informally with The Older Adult mental Health Team, the Admiral Nurse, Social Workers, Carers Guernsey, Dementia Friendly Guernsey, and the Office of the Data Protection Authority for advice and support.

We’re all really looking forward to seeing you there! 💛
