Hello from Spalding’s Business Improvement District (BID). Through our social media channels, website and the Hello Spalding App, we invite you to join us in celebrating and supporting everything that makes Spalding a fantastic place to live, work and thrive. Spalding has so much to offer - whether you’re visiting for an hour, a day, or a longer stay. Explore our wonderful independent shops, enjoy

peaceful riverside walks, discover historic landmarks and learn about our rich farming heritage. With a variety of walking trails, points of interest around every corner and plenty of great places to eat and drink, there’s always something to enjoy. The town is also proud to host two unique annual events. Each May, the historic Spalding Flower Parade fills the streets with colour and creativity. And every October, the town celebrates its connection to Europe’s largest pumpkin grower with the lively and much-loved Pumpkin Festival, a tradition that began with the Pumpkin Parade in 2002. Funding from local businesses through the BID levy enables Spalding BID to deliver projects and activities that make the town more welcoming, clean and safe. It also supports improved “what’s on” communication for residents and visitors, while championing our local businesses to help them grow and succeed.

Get ready for a fantastic day of live music, amazing motorbikes, great food and a buzzing atmosphere in Spalding town centre!

Join us on Sunday 9th August, from 12pm – 6pm at Market Place, Spalding, for this completely FREE event featuring:

🎶 8 live bands performing throughout the day
🏍️ A stunning display of motorbikes taking over the town centre – a fantastic opportunity to get up close to a wide variety of bikes and chat with fellow enthusiasts

Leah spent this morning with Philip and Andrew from Sheddy Turner’s, Spalding getting a proper behind-the-scenes look at how they do things.

When you spend time with business owners who are genuinely passionate about what they do, you quickly realise just how much knowledge sits behind the scenes. From sourcing local ingredients to the way they approach every part of the process, there are so many details that customers never usually get to see.

I’ve been capturing content for Andrew & Phillip to use on their own Socials and will be putting together a Business Showcase Reel to highlight l the business, the people behind it, and what makes Sheddy Turners’ stand out.

You may have spotted some of our beautiful floral displays appearing around the town this week.

These colourful arrangements are being placed at key locations across Spalding to help create a warm welcome, brighten public spaces, and make our town centre even more enjoyable for everyone to visit.

The displays form part of ongoing efforts to enhance the town centre, celebrate community pride, and create an attractive environment for residents, visitors, and local businesses alike.

As you’re out and about, keep an eye out for the displays and feel free to share your photos with us – we’d love to see them!
