Week 5 is here and the standard keeps climbing! From fearless defending and huge saves to midfield control, goals, assists and players simply refusing to stop working, our coaches have once again picked out the performances that stood above the rest.

So, let’s get into them… 👇🔥

🔵 U7 BLUES | FINLAY

The improvement is clear to see! His dribbling is getting better every week, his confidence is growing and his 1v1 attacking and defending continues to develop brilliantly. 💪⚽

🔵 U8 BLUES | WILLIAM R. | GK 🧤

A fine display between the sticks. Concentration was high, he produced some great blocks and his kicking out of his hands was brilliant. 🧤🔥

🔵 U9 BLUES | JAXX | DEF

Strong in the tackle, making plays and constantly supporting his teammates. A great all-round defensive performance and a thoroughly deserved nomination. 💪🔵

🔵 U10 BLUES | LOUIS | CM

Louis delivers week after week, but this weekend he took it up another level. Strong tackling + a stunning brace helped his teammates come out on top against a very strong opponent. 💥⚽⚽

⚪ U10 WHITES | CAMPBELL | CM

Powerful performance! 💪 The desire this boy has is incredible and he worked so hard for his team. And there was a reward too, with a well-earned goal. ⚽🌷

🔵 U11 BLUES | WILLIAM | GK 🧤

Great concentration and composure when called upon. To show that level of calmness at just 10 years old is unbelievable!

And apparently there was one question being heard around Yaxley…

“ARE YOU EDERSON IN DISGUISE?!” 😂🧤

🔵 U12 BLUES | MAX | CB

A really commanding performance at centre back in the Lincs Cup. Fight, spirit and composure throughout a tough game that didn’t go our way. 💙🛡️

🔵 U12 GIRLS BLUE | NIRVENJA

A fantastic team goal and non-stop running from start to finish. Energy levels through the roof! 💙⚽🔥

🔵 U12 GIRLS BLUE | BELLA F.

🔵 U13 BLUES | LEO | RM

A real threat all game! Leo scored, won the penalty, showed great pace and linked up brilliantly with those around him. He’s really settling into the team now and looking more dangerous every week. ⚡💙

🟡 U13 YELLOWS | ETHAN G.

A one-man mountain. 💪 Up against a very physical attacker, Ethan kept him at bay for large periods with composure and discipline, even while carrying a knock. Captain’s performance. 🫡🟡

🔵 U14 GIRLS BLUE | LILY | CB

Proud of all the girls for battling hard and never giving up. Lily was solid at the back, never stopped running and produced some great tackles. 💙🛡️

⚪ U14 WHITES | ARCHIE

Rock solid at the back against a rapid striker, Archie had him in his pocket for most of the match and helped his team to a fantastic 3-1 win. Class performance. 👏🔥

🔵 U15 BLUES | GEORGE | GK 🧤

Top-quality saves, bravery and confidence between the sticks. A huge performance in goal and a very deserved TOTW spot. 🧤💙

⚪ U18 WHITES | TYLER | MIDFIELD

MOTM! Came on and made an instant impact, bringing some much-needed spirit and energy to the midfield. Sometimes a performance is all about changing the feel of a game, and Tyler did exactly that. 💪⚪

🔵 U18 BLUES | RAUL | STRIKER

A first goal for the club against the reigning County Cup champions! 🔥 Raul ran their defence ragged all game and produced a blinder to get himself on the scoresheet. Superb performance, even if it couldn’t prevent the cup exit. 💙⚽

💙💛⚽️ TEAM OF THE WEEK | WEEK 4 ⚽️💛💙

And we’re back with another brilliant Team of the Week! 🙌🏻

Week 4 has brought goals, saves, big performances, hard work, determination and plenty of moments that deserve to be celebrated. From the youngest players making huge strides to our older age groups stepping up in big games, there’s loads to be proud of across the club! 💙💛

So, let’s get into this week’s nominees…

🔵 U7 Blues – Kevin
Great listening in training, technical work is getting better and better. Also banged a top bin! 🚀⚽️🌷

🔵 U9 Blues – Jacob
Made a large impact on the game and was key in securing the win. Put 100% effort in and played smart, and was rewarded with a goal. 👍🏼⚽️

⚪ U9 Whites – Rex – GK
Great second-half performance in goal, making some great saves. 🧤👏🏻

🔵 U10 Blues – Jaxon – ST/Def
Excellent all-round performance, scoring 2 great goals before playing the 2nd half in an unnatural position of CB, where he was composed and calm through defending and driving forward with the ball. Great to see his confidence coming back. ⚽️🙌🏻

⚪ U10 Whites – Danielius – ST
New position for him, he smashed it with ⚽️⚽️⚽️ absolute rockets! 🚀 Worked his socks off! 🌷

🔵 U11 Blues – Jude – RW
Great performance, covered every blade of grass down the right. Caused problem after problem for the opposition. Rewarded with a well-deserved goal. ⚽️💪🏻

🔵 U12 Blues – Ollie – GK
Some great saves, including a penalty save in a very tough game. 🧤🔥

🔴 U12 Reds – Ethan J. – GK
Again, could’ve been any one of them but in a relatively one-sided game our keeper Ethan J. stayed switched on and dealt with anything thrown at him and deserved his clean sheet. 🧤👏🏻

⚪ U12 Whites – Harrison – ST
Ran his socks off for the team, linked up play well and scored a couple of great goals. Played his part in a Division 1 scalp to get us through to the next round. ⚽️💪🏻

🟡 U13 Yellows – Phoenix R
Incredibly proud of all the boys today against a Div 1 team in the cup. However, Phoenix Rowe was different gravy today. His marauding runs down the wing caused their back line no end of problems. Phoenix also got on the scoresheet to top off a quality day. Well played young man. 🔥⚽️

⚪ U13 Whites – Theo – GK
In the cup, playing a team 2 divisions higher, he pulled off some fine saves to keep the team in contention, unfortunately just losing out by 1 goal. 🧤👏🏻

🔵 U13 Blues – Maddie – LM
A solid performance on the left of midfield 4. Strong in the tackle and did some surging runs at the opposition who couldn’t handle her. Always covering and helping out at the back as well. Well done, keep it up! 💪🏻

⚪ U14 Whites – Harry S. – CM
Amazing link-up play and movement, dominated midfield and caused chaos going forward. 🔥

🔵 U14 Blues – Freddie – LB
Brilliant performance at left back in a 4-0 win. Commanding, calm and composed when needed to ensure back-to-back clean sheets! 💪🏻🧱

🔵 U15 Blues – Harry Cook – CB
A very strong and commanding performance from Haz, positional awareness coupled with strong all-round play. Well done Haz! 👏🏻

🔵 U18 Blue Girls – Freya – GK
Made many saves to keep us in the game. Great handling. Kicking on point. …. 🐈‍⬛🧤

⚪ U18 Whites – Benny
Benny was MOTM today, the gezzer was an absolute weapon in defence!! The Rhino…… 🦏💪🏻

🔵 U18 Blues – George Love – Defence
Instrumental in a huge Div 1 derby win against Stamford. Solid at the back and scored arguably the best goal ever scored at the Halley Stewart. 🚀⚽️

👏🏻 18 nominations. One club. Plenty of reasons to celebrate. 👏🏻

A massive congratulations to every player recognised this week, and a huge thank you to all our coaches, players, parents and supporters who continue to make this club more than a club. 💙💛
