London Environmental Educators' Forum LEEF

LEEF is a membership organisation for London's most passionate green educators. Our members share information through regular training events and emails.

We meet to share skills and knowledge to improve the quality and quantity of environmental education delivered across the capital. London Environmental Education Forum (LEEF) was set-up in 1989 as a membership organisation to promote and champion the delivery of environmental education (EE) across Greater London. The forum’s members work across the sector, taking in front line teaching roles to backroom policy and everything in-between. LEEF organises training, workshops and seminars to enhance members skills, spread best practice and provide networking opportunities. We advertise job vacancies and promote events linked with EE delivery. Membership is open to individuals and organisations interested or actively involved in EE in the Greater London area.

We are saddend to hear of the passing of Joe Harkness, author, naturalist and SEND teacher.

He very kindly joined a session of our reading group via video earlier this year, in which we discussed his book, 'Neurodivergent, by Nature'.

It started a lot of helpful conversations about how environmental educators can implement the 'reasonable adjustments' that are suggested in the book in our practice.
