Congratulations to our UK delegation on their participation in this year's Y7 Summit in Paris!

Last week, Head Delegate Katie Rennie, alongside Inaya Islam, Anmol Singh and Lola Milroy-Tompkins, joined young leaders from across the G7 to collaborate, negotiate and develop policy recommendations on some of the most pressing challenges facing young people today.

Representing the UK on an international stage is no small achievement, and we are incredibly proud of the commitment, professionalism and insight demonstrated by the delegation throughout their Y7 journey.

In the coming weeks, they will continue to advocate for the Y7 2026 Communiqué with government, youth institutions and stakeholder groups, helping ensure that the perspectives of young people remain part of the conversation.

With the Y7 Summit in Paris now just weeks away, the UK delegation’s preparations are well underway.

Katie Rennie is leading that work as this year’s Head Delegate, helping shape the research, consultation and collaboration behind the team’s preparations ahead of Paris. Reflecting on the experience so far, she said:

“FLN’s integrated training programme for delegations has empowered our team to undertake independent policy development. The experience has been particularly shaped by collaborative problem-solving and exposure to diverse viewpoints, equipping delegates with both the expertise and diplomatic skills needed to engage meaningfully in international negotiations and deliver impactful outcomes in Paris later this year.”

We’re excited to see the depth of thought, research and collaboration that Katie and the wider delegation are bringing to the table, and look forward to seeing how their work takes shape at the upcoming summit.
