🎶 Vox Chamber is coming to the Bandstand! 🎶

We're delighted to be joining Southend Vox for Vox & Roll at Priory Park Bandstand on Friday 4th July at 3pm.

Expect an afternoon of fantastic music, beautiful harmonies, and plenty of summer feel-good vibes as we take to the stage together in one of Southend's most iconic outdoor venues.

Whether you're a regular supporter or discovering us for the first time, we'd love to see you there. Bring a chair, bring a picnic, and enjoy an afternoon of live music in the park.

New warm-up exercise with Vox Chamber Choir… and let’s just say it didn’t quite go to plan 🤣

“I’ve been afraid of changing…” 🎶

There’s something about Landslide that speaks to women at every stage of life. The quiet reflection that comes with growing older. Learning to feel comfortable in our own skin, while also becoming more aware that time moves quickly.

The dreams we still hold.
The things we haven’t done yet.
The fear that perhaps we’re running out of time.

As a choir of women, this song feels deeply personal to us. Every voice carries its own story — of change, resilience, love, loss, hope, and becoming.

This reflective video collage is set to Landslide performed by Vox Chamber Choir (a work in progress!), and captures some of those thoughts and feelings we don’t always say out loud.

Sometimes music helps us hold them together for a moment ❤️

From train ride to the beautiful halls of King’s College London — what a night to remember ✨🎶

We were incredibly honoured to perform at the 50th Anniversary Gala of the British Society of Special Care Dentistry in London. A huge thank you to the British Society of Special Care Dentistry for having Vox Chamber Choir as part of such a special celebration.

Performing in such a prestigious setting, surrounded by so many inspiring people, was truly unforgettable. Thank you to everyone who made the evening so memorable.

Lights, camera, rebellion. 🎬✨

Two of Vox Chamber’s stunning members, Katie and SJ, were filmed for the upcoming documentary Witchcraft & Stilettos by Blatella Films, discussing powerful stories that challenge old narratives and celebrate bold female voices.

Featured in conversation were The Ballad of Sharon and Tracey and The Ballad of Sarah Moore from Between Sea and Sky by Aran O'Grady and Sadie Hasler — stories that confront identity, strength, class and the tired old Essex Girl stereotype.

This is Essex redefined: intelligent, creative, fearless and unapologetically authentic.

We’re proud to be part of a project shining a light on women’s stories, local culture and the voices too often overlooked.

We’ll be performing The Ballad of Sharon and Tracey by composer Aran O'Grady and lyrics by local playwright Sadie Hasler, helping to explore the wider story of what it means to be an Essex Girl.

The film, Witchcraft & Stilettos: Redefining the Essex Girl Narrative, is being produced by Blatella Films, and we’re proud to be part of this powerful project that challenges stereotypes and celebrates identity, history, and culture.

✨ Part 3: The Ballad of Bell Wharf

The Ballad of Bell Wharf draws on local folklore, telling the story of 19th century “sea witch” Sarah Moore — said to have sold bottled winds and good luck to sailors along the Essex coast.

Mysterious, atmospheric, and steeped in legend, this piece brings to life one of the many stories woven into our local heritage ✨
