✨ Although our Spotlight Radiotherapy Appeal officially closed in July, the generosity hasn’t stopped! ✨

A huge thank you to Malcolm Payne for raising an incredible £2,212 through his fantastic fundraising events at Essex Course Angling Society and 'Friends of the Shadows' guitar club. 💛

Rest assured, every penny raised for the Spotlight Appeal will continue to make a difference, helping us further enhance Radiotherapy services for patients across mid and south Essex.

What an incredible journey! 💛

Last night at Thorpe Hall Golf Club, we held a special evening to thank all the amazing businesses, clubs, and individuals who have supported the *Spotlight Appeal* since its launch in February 2023 - when I proudly took up the role of Chair of Southend Hospital Charitable Foundation I’m absolutely thrilled to share that together, we didn’t just reach our target… we smashed it - raising a staggering **£920,000**! 🎉

This incredible amount has funded state-of-the-art Surface Guided Radiotherapy attachments for Southend Hospital, transforming cancer treatment by providing more precise radiation without the need for permanent tattoos for patients. 💫

Your support has been overwhelming and humbling. Because of you, Southend is now home to one of the best-equipped cancer centres in the country.

Here’s a photo of me with my incredible committee last night - each one of them has played a key role in making this dream a reality. 🙏

Following the official appeal close event last night, we’re over-the-moon to have celebrated the amazing success of the Spotlight Radiotherapy Appeal. With a whole lot of help from our amazing community of supporters, the Southend Hospital Charitable Foundation appeal raised an incredible £920,000 to benefit radiotherapy patients at Southend Hospital.

With huge thanks to our amazing community of supporters, this marks the end of the appeal - but donations are still very much welcome to continue supporting radiotherapy services.

Thanks to our supporters, cutting-edge radiotherapy is now a reality at Southend Hospital, improving the overall patient experience with greater comfort and accuracy.
