**LOOKING FOR ADOPTION**

Neutered and Vaccinated.

Unfortunately Taylor’s adoption didn’t work out as he was too strong on the lead for adopter.
Taylor who is approximately 1 year old has a lovely soft temperament and a happy outlook on life. He is keen to meet other dogs out and about and WILL pull to meet them.
Taylor loves to learn and is a big lover of snacks which makes training easier. He is an energetic Lad who is looking for an energetic home who would enjoy training him.
He is quite full on playing with other dogs so either needs a no dog home (no cats either as he will chase) or another energetic dog who likes to play hard.
He is very young at heart so would prefer not to be left for long periods as l suspect he may develop separation anxiety.

If you can offer Taylor a life long home and would be happy to put in the training to make him the perfect dog please message the page for an application form.

**ADOPTED**
TAYLOR
Nicer photos to follow once he’s all healed from his entropian and castration surgery.

Taylor is such a lovely sweet lad!
He is only about 1 and a half years old (estimate) and LOVES to learn. He loves all people, and is friendly with other dogs. He is a typical puppy and full of energy. He has no ‘typical’ Shar Pei traits and can’t wait to meet any human who will say hello to him and give his a fuss. He l Ioves his food making him very easily trainable. He can pull on a lead to say hello to another dog or if there’s something of interest to him. He will chase things that run, so no cats in the household please. He loves to play with other dogs and could be homed with another dog but due to him still learning how to play nicely they would need to be a similar size and energy match as he can get a bit over excited and boisterous.
He could be homed with children over 10 due to him being quite bouncy still and not realising he weighs 24kg !
He loves attention and will happily sit ON you if he can.
He will make a fantastic family pet for a family who is willing to put in the time to his exercise and training. He is houseclean and knows “sit” “off” and “wait (sometimes)”but due to his issues with his eyes and the cone of shame for weeks I’ve not been able to do much training with him.
He is the friendliest, happiest Shar Pei you could ever wish to meet 😊.

If you could offer Taylor a forever home and enjoy training please drop us a message with your email address for an application form.
He is currently in Southampton, Hampshire and would need to meet any potential adopters and resident dogs prior to adoption. Homecheck and adoption fee apply as per usual

Please excuse the look of this lovely lad, Taylor.

Taylor has had to have entropian surgery after his eyes becoming irritated shortly after he joined the rescue, and various other treatments tried which haven’t worked. He is now much more comfortable despite the look and very happy to be able to now fully see the world.
Taylor has been in kennels now for 4 weeks, as he had no applications when he was last posted, then obviously he has been under the vets since.
The cost of the treatments and surgery Taylor has had to have has bleed the rescue dry 😢 we have no funds ☹️
If anyone could please spare a £ or 2 to help with the ongoing costs l would be very grateful.

In a more positive note….. Leah is doing amazing !
She is such a character 😂 and has been doing a wonderful job of teaching Taylor how to play nicely at the kennels. I’ve never know a dog LOVE her kennel as much as Leah does !
The long term plan for Leah is that once Taylor has his own home (please message us if you could give this fantastic young boy a home) she will coming home with me to my pack 😊. No one knows how long Leah’s life will be, but I’m going to make 100% sure she has a happy one.
Thank you all for your continued support, l couldn’t help these dogs without your donations ❤️

LOOKING FOR FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME

Please meet Taylor.
I believe Taylor is possibly a slight cross breed but unknown what with (let’s face it who cares, he’s gorgeous).
Taylor has come from the pound, so his history is unknown, but l can tell you already this poor young lad (only aged at about 1 year old) has been abused 😢 as he can be jumpy and weary especially around food and new things.
He is a very hungry boy, and care would need to be taken over giving him space to eat until fully assessed. He is currently in kennels with me, so not a good environment for a young lad or to build his confidence in the outside world.
He has tested well with other dogs but can be quite boisterous as you would expect from a puppy.
Once he gets to know you (doesn’t take long) he loves a good fuss and is a softie. He has shown no signs of aggression whilst in my care, but due to needing full assessment (that’s what Foster’s do) l wouldn’t place him with children under the age of 16

If you could help Taylor take a step towards a future full of love and happiness please contact us. Let’s PLEASE get this young lad out of kennels

So Leah had the weekend away with me to my besties and her enclosed dog field. She throughly enjoyed herself 😊. She loved the other dogs and got to meet 2 of my adoptees (Lady and Edna). Leah and Edna had a lovely play date in the field and both came back knackered 😂. Leah has lovely manners with other dogs and does a fantastic play bow 🥰.
Think l can safely say she is totally dog friendly 😊.

LEAH 21/04/26

As you can see Leah is doing fantastic. We’ve had a couple of hiccups with the healing process, but we recon 1 more week to go and she will be fully healed and signed off by the vet 👌
Her visit yesterday she was impeccable behaved as per usual and was keen to show off her locks of hair 😊. She truly is a very special young lady 😍

Photos to remind you of her then, and now 😍

Leah is out, out taking in some sights and smells 😊😘

VERY VERY HAPPY UPDATE ON LEAH 😁

Leah had her surgery’s yesterday and came through the anaesthetic 😁😁😁😁😁

Apologies for not updating you all that she was going under yesterday but as you can imagine l was a bit of an emotional mess !, and didn’t need any extra stress.
She had had 4 lid entropian and we can now see her beautiful eyes and she no longer has eyelashes rubbing her eyes sore. She has had Boas surgery to her nose and can now breath freely and smell the world ! No more noisy breathing as she struggles to get air through her nostrils. She has also had a HUGE chunk of flesh removed that was covering her bum and tail, she now has a little wiggly tail !
She isn’t overly happy about having to wear the cone ☹️ but obviously it is necessary to avoid her rubbing her nose and eye stitches and nibbling at her bottom stitches.
So far the road to recovery is running smoothly and she is eating well and still demanding lots of fuss 😊
She is back at the vets Tuesday for post op checkup and is currently having pain relief and antibiotics as obviously 1 of her wounds is around her bottom so better safe than sorry.
I can’t thank my vets and the vet nurses enough for taking such good care of her yesterday and for keeping me updated knowing how anxious l was.
Lastly but not least ! THANK YOU ALL for your donations towards her surgery and making a comfortable pain free life for Leah 😊. The funds raised have covered her surgery, meds and enough left to buy her some more food. Hopefully ongoing costs will be minimal provided we have no complications 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Thank you all so much 😊 l will keep you updated with her recovery, but no news is good news (as the saying goes) ###

Leah update 18/03/2026
Apologies for late update, there isn’t much to report.
Leah is still improving and as you can see her fur/skin is greatly improved. This week l will reduce her to 2.5mg steroid and hope she doesn’t start to have any bad reactions. She is on a very strict diet which she is doing well on so far 🤞 and still having twice weekly medicated baths.
She sends her love to all those who are following her progress and licks to those who have put pennies in her pot to help her.
