Our Friday Friends Sewing Club is for those who already sew and just need the time, space, and environment to get stuck into their own projects.

No structure. No pressure. Just a room full of people quietly getting on with it.

Perfect if you:
• already know your way around a machine
• have projects you want to continue
• want dedicated sewing time without distractions

This is a self-led session, supervised by volunteers — which is why it’s offered at a reduced rate.

We’re currently running this as a once-a-month session, so spaces tend to go quickly. If demand is there, we’ll open more.

On the day you’ll also have:
• access to machines and workspace
• our little shop is open for bits you might need
• refreshments available for a small donation

We want this to be accessible too — please get in touch if you’re on Universal Credit or experience disability and we’ll talk you through options.

Our beginner classes are built to take you from zero experience to real confidence — without overwhelm.

In your first session we will cover the following:
• an introduction to the studio machinery and equipment
• how the sewing machine works; threading and taking a look at accessories
• sewing a straight and curved line and playing with stitch variations

Everything is taught step-by-step, in a relaxed and supportive environment.

If you’ve been meaning to get back into sewing… this is your space.

Our Sewing Circle sessions run at different times throughout the week to hopefully fit with your schedule. We are a Community Interest Company and have designed our classes to give you time, space and support and literally find a sewing community and have fun!

Whether you’re:
• making a new item of clothing • wanting to finish a project you’ve struggled with - be it a soft toy, clothing, alterations or soft furnishings
• or just want a few hours to yourself

You’ll have access to machines, tools, and guidance when you need it — without pressure or too much structure (apart from a ‘tea break’.)

Morning, afternoon, evening and weekend sessions are available. Beginners are always welcome!

Spaces are intentionally limited so everyone gets the support they need. We offer a discount for block bookings and a huge discount for Members!

🤝 Bring Your Own Book📚 October Books’ Monthly Book Club

Join us for the very first session of our new book club on Saturday 30th August at 11am!
This friendly, informal group is open to anyone aged 18+ and welcomes up to 10 people to start with.

Just bring along a book you’ve read — one you loved, hated, or are still thinking about — and be ready to chat about it over a slice of cake.

Each session will run for around an hour and is all about sharing stories, discovering new reads, and connecting with others who love books in all their forms.

No pressure, no set reading list — just good conversations. Come along and bring your book!
