Waterside Gymnastics Club We provide a child-centred, coach-led program and endeavor to assist every child develop to their optimum level of performance.

Our aim is to provide a safe, effective and child friendly environment in which members can enjoy a variety of gymnastic disciplines under the guidance of our excellent team of British Gymnastics qualified

coaches. Waterside Gymnastics Club is a non profit making charity run by an elected committee. We operate an open inclusive philosophy in all that we do and welcome the support of parents, guardians, carers and volunteers.

MEET MAX 🤸WHO WILL BE REPRESENTING TEAM GB 🇬🇧 THIS OCTOBER IN FINLAND

Age: 18

Hi 👋 I’ve been a gymnast for 13 years since the age of 5, starting out in Artistic Boys before transitioning to Teamgym Boys with Della and Amy’s squad at 7.

My favourite apparatus is forwards tumble and floor. Where I use my power and speed to develop difficult skills and use my creativity to create exciting performances on the floor.

I’m currently in my second year of college, studying Biology, Chemistry, Maths, and Sport, with the ambition of becoming a doctor. Alongside my future studies, I will be continuing to coach and compete for Waterside and acting as a role model for others while giving back to the club that provided me with the greatest possible support, encouragement and dedication to fuelling my lifelong passion for the sport.

This will be my second year competing at the European Championships, and I’m incredibly proud to be part of the Senior Men’s Team. Representing Great Britain on the international stage twice is a huge privilege, and I’m looking forward to giving my best performance, supporting my teammates, and helping the team achieve our goals this October. 🇬🇧💪

🤸‍♀️MEET THE WATERSIDE GYMNASTS WHO WILL BE REPRESENTING TEAM GB 🇬🇧 THIS OCTOBER IN FINLAND🤸‍♀️

Firstly, let me introduce you to Zach who, at the age of 17, is the second youngest of the 4.

Hi 👋🏾 I have been a gymnast for 13 years, starting at Waterside Gymnastics Club when I was just 4 years old. I began in Waterside Minis and moved into TeamGym Boys at age 7, where I’ve trained ever since with Della and Amy.

My favourite apparatus are trampette and floor, where I love combining power, technique, and performance.

Alongside gymnastics, I’m in my first year of college studying Biology, Psychology and Sport, with the goal of progressing to university to become a physiotherapist — while continuing my gymnastics journey, of course.

This year will be my second European Championships and I’m proud to be part of the Junior Men’s team. I’m aiming to perform at my very best and help the team achieve something special in Finland this October. 🇬🇧🤸‍♀️🇬🇧
