What a better way to start the Armed Forces Week with the launch of the Commonwealth Military Hub at Aldershot Town Football Club.

Many people told us we needed an event where we could all celebrate our unity in service as UK personnel & Veterans from the Commonwealth.

Our Leadership team from Leavers to Leaders, Op Belonging and UKVC are now putting the plan together. You can also speak to Mr Sakiasi Sovanivalu and Mr Tomasi Rasoki about your interest. Since this is our 1st event, we will limit the stadium capacity and allocate places and stalls in 4 regions: South Pacific, Africa, South Asia & the Caribbean. This is a family day with a focus on integration & Belonging.

Register your interest in attendance & participation here: https://forms.gle/JTLftLqDHFa59oLh6

Today, our Leavers to Leaders team had the privilege of engaging with the SPS Fijians in the Military to explore the 'Art of Service' — and how the Leaders Operating System (LOS Model) empowers individuals to create meaningful impact across businesses, communities, and societies.

SPS soldiers, often known as HR Specialists, play a vital role across the British Army by delivering essential HR, financial, and administrative services. As part of the Adjutant General’s Corps, they are the first and last point of contact for personnel — shaping experiences from enlistment to transition.

The 'Art of Service' reveals itself in many forms — it’s the quiet strength, adaptability, and leadership that enable an Army to thrive in both peace and wartime. At Leavers to Leaders, we believe service doesn’t end; it evolves. If you’re ready to explore how you can lead with purpose beyond the uniform (while serving) let’s continue the conversation.

As we come together to celebrate Commonwealth Day (Monday 9th) around the world, let us take a moment to honour all who serve today, those who have served before us, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice during the world wars.

Today, even as global challenges continue, we’re reminded that those in uniform embody the enduring bond between the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth — a golden link built on shared service, values, and courage.

Over the past few years, Samuel T. Reddy had the privilege of meeting people from nearly every Commonwealth nation — from South Pacific to South Asia, Africa to the Caribbean, I've met incredible men and women, spouses, and children — all united by one truth: we are “United by Our Service.”

Each of us answered the call voluntarily and with pride, contributing to the strength and freedom of the nation we serve to Belong. Our identity as UK personnel and UKVC | UK Veterans From The Commonwealth is about more than service; it’s about the powerful legacy we leave for our British-born children, who will proudly say, “My mum or dad served.”

While some may misunderstand or overlook that legacy, we continue to stand unwavering in our loyalty to the King and Country.

Happy Commonwealth Day — united in service, purpose, and pride!
