With the theme ‘Chill into summer’ we are looking forward to guest Claire Farmer Claire Farmer a Usui Tibetan Reiki Practitioner, dancer and Sound Healer in training, creating and holding the space.

There will also be movement led by Sarah Sulemanji, art from .by.gabs, refreshments and outside play.

Claire began connecting with paganism and crystals as a teenager, and soon became drawn to the healing arts, completing her Level I Reiki initiation at the age of 17, and Reiki II in the Usui Tibetan Lineage at 21. Since then Claire has explored many different practices, including Rune stones, Tarot and Oracle cards, herbalism, meditation and Somatic Practices, past life regressions and Women’s circles. Alongside this Claire works as a dance educator and researcher and is co‑editor of The ‘Female’ Dancer, co‑host of its accompanying podcast, and a regular contributor to journals, magazines and sector publications.

During this session we will reconnect with nature and inner calm through gentle movement, connection with animals and forest sounds before relaxing into the earth, guided by visualisation and sound healing. Claire will incorporate a range of instruments including a crystal bowl, rain stick and koshi chimes to facilitate relaxation alongside the healing power of Reiki.

We are very excited to welcome our fabulous guest artist this month 🤩

Annaika Ahuja is a professional Indian classical dancer, choreographer & performer for two decades - Annaika’s creations are straight out of a bollywood movie. The majority of her training was in India, which influences her performance & choreography values. One of them being meaningful choreography that speaks to the emotion & purpose of the music.
An accomplished Bharatanatyam teacher & performer both in India & internationally, she’s also trained in contemporary & bollywood and has been a choreographer & curator for several classical productions in the UK. Annaika runs regular dance classes in Central London - “Semi Classical Sundays” and has introduced the style of semi-classical across the workshop culture in London over the last 3 years, having taught over 70 choreography workshops with a community of over 250 students.

What to expect from her session?
The style: a blend of traditional semi classical & lyrical bollywood.
Expect to be a part of a creative & immersive space for an interactive dance experience, with the opportunity to combine soulful compositions with emotive storytelling through movements & expressions. Class is open to everyone - You don’t need to have any previous training or knowledge. Love dance, love bollywood? Come along and flow with me.

We are excited to host ‘Creativity & Connection’ at Open Havelock this coming Saturday! Meet Danielle Witter our guest creative who will be delivering alongside Gabi .by.gabs (art) and (movement).

A self-confessed foodie, Danielle’s passion for all things food from seed to plate, drives her to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with others.
She holds a BA (Hons) in Professional Cookery from the University of West London and has worked in the food industry for over 16 years. Danielle previously trained and worked with the Children’s Food Trust and Tesco, delivering the Eat Happy project, and has also run her own cake and catering business, My Fair Lady Cakes.
For the past six years, Danielle has taught food technology in secondary schools, where she particularly enjoys inspiring young people.
Having lived in the London Borough of Ealing her entire life, Danielle has strong community connections. Her goal is to educate local residents about food while creating opportunities through cookery lessons and gardening sessions.

We’re back tomorrow for Move and Make! Come and join our friendly and supportive community of parents, carers and their children aged 0-5 and enjoy movement , art and play together. Sessions are FREE on Wednesdays at Open Havelock 09:30-11:30.
