🎉 IT’S FRIDAY — BASE IS BACK TONIGHT! 🎉

We’ve got a brilliant evening lined up for you:

🌭 Hot food: Hot dogs and nachos to keep you fuelled!

🏀 Sports hall: NEW sports balls to try out — basketballs and footballs. Get involved, have a kickabout or shoot some hoops!

🎨 In the lounge: Resident SMART and SAP artist James will be joining us to create a collaborative artwork. Come along, get creative and add your own touch!

🍬 Archie’s tuck shop: Archie will be there with all your tuck shop favourites!

👋 Your team on the floor tonight: Nat, Lisa and Naomi will be there to welcome you!

Today, our directors Natalie and Lisa had the privilege of visiting the wonderful new Woolley Woods space for its grand opening, set within the beautiful National Trust’s Arlington Court Estate. 🌳💚

It was lovely to celebrate this exciting new space and see the opportunities it will bring. We’re delighted to share in such a special occasion and look forward to seeing Woolley Woods flourish! We also can’t wait to plan some excursions🌱

❗PLEASE NOTE - CHANGE OF DATE FOR DECEMBER'S TEEN POOL PARTY SWIM❗

The date for December's teen swim will not be the last Sunday of the month due to the Christmas Holidays and will instead be on the NEW DATE of SUNDAY 13th DECEMBER. If you had booked on to the 27/12 swim you have been automatically moved over and a confirmation email has been resent.

The final teen pool party swim dates for 2026 are as follows:

Sunday 25th October 3-4pm
Sunday 29th November 3-4pm
Sunday 13th December 3-4pm

All sessions are FREE for 11-18 year olds and include an hours pool party fun in the water at SMART Swim Centre, South Molton, followed by a slice of pizza afterwards 🍕

🌿 FAMILY DAY OUT – MORTE POINT, WOOLACOMBE- THURSDAY 29TH OCTOBER 10AM-3PM 🌊

This October, SAP CIC is teaming up with the National Trust and Ilfracombe Community Transport to offer families from South Molton and the surrounding area a FREE family day out to Woolacombe’s beautiful Morte Point!💚

Come along for the National Trust’s Burn & Bash, where families will have the opportunity to get involved in practical conservation work, helping to cut back gorse and clear vegetation while enjoying the stunning coastal surroundings. 🌿🪵

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who can come?
There are no eligibility criteria for this event. Families are welcome to register their interest, although preference will be given to families who do not have access to their own transport

Children aged 6+ are welcome to take part. Under 6s are also welcome to come along, but please be aware that the conservation activity is quite physical. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

🚌 FREE TRANSPORT PROVIDED!

📍 Departing: South Molton Central Car Park – 10am
📍 Return journey: Leaving Woolacombe – 2pm

🧤 Tools and equipment are provided, so all you need to bring is:

🥪 Packed lunch
💧 Water bottle
🍎 Snacks
👕 Clothes you don't mind getting dirty
🥾 Sturdy, closed-toe shoes

💚 You don't have to stay for the whole activity!

We want families to have the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful part of North Devon together. You can come and go from the conservation activity as you please — there is **no obligation to take part for the whole duration**.

Why not lend a hand, explore Morte Point, enjoy the coastline and spend some quality time outdoors as a family this October? 🌊🌿
