We are the local VCS Infrastructure Organisation for Warwickshire & Solihull, providing vital support to the volunteers, groups, organisations, enterprises and charities who are working to strengthen all of our communities across the region. Every year our dedicated teams of staff and volunteers help lever in significant investment into the county. In 2018/19 the collective value of funding secure

We were formed in 2008 through the merger of separate 'Councils for Voluntary Service' and 'Volunteer Centres' to provide a single point of access for everyone who wants to engage in community and voluntary action. We have a collective history of over 200 years of supporting local communities to thrive. We are committed to providing all of our services locally and accessibly. Are you a strategic leader with a passion for strengthening communities and reducing inequality?

At Warwickshire & Solihull Community and Voluntary Action (CAVA), we're looking for an experienced and motivated Area Programme and Development Manager to lead and develop our growing Solihull portfolio at an exciting time of integration and growth.

As a key member of our Management Team, you will:

✅ Lead and manage CAVA's Solihull programme portfolio
✅ Build and strengthen partnerships across the public, voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sectors
✅ Represent and champion the voice of the VCFSE sector across Solihull
✅ Manage contracts, budgets and performance delivery
✅ Lead a small, dedicated team
✅ Support income generation through tenders, funding applications and partnership development
✅ Help shape the future strategic direction of CAVA

We're looking for someone with:
✔ Strong leadership and programme management experience
✔ Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills
✔ Experience managing budgets, contracts and performance targets
✔ Strong communication and influencing abilities
✔ Experience of securing funding and writing successful tenders
✔ A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and reducing inequality

Experience within the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector would be advantageous.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a leading role in supporting communities across Solihull and helping local organisations thrive while working alongside partners from local government, the NHS and the wider Integrated Care System.

🚗 A driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential.

The Board is part of the Pride in Place programme, which will see £20 million invested in Chelmsley Wood over the next 10 years, supporting local improvements and community-led change.
