BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

NOT LONG TO GO UNTIL ITS SNEINTON FESTIVAL-ON THE WATER.
BEFORE WE KNOW IT IT WILL BE HERE! SO IN TRUE SNEINTON FESTIVAL SPIRIT... HERES OUR 1ST FESTIVAL WORKSHOP THIS WEEK! ITS ONE NOT TO MISS.....
We're running a free creative workshop on Saturday 6th June as part of the Sneinton Festival and we'd love you to come.

What will we be doing?
You'll design your very own Water Spirit, a mischievous imaginary creature that protects the river and take revenge on those that don't (shock horror). It can look however you want. Strange, beautiful, funny, fierce. Totally up to you.

You're Water Spirit will be made as a foil artwork drawing, using a simple technique that looks really striking and is satisfying to do. No drawing experience needed at all. The foil does a lot of the magic for you.

Your finished piece then gets attached to a specially made walking pole in a water-inspired shape. On festival day, the poles will be carried through the Sneinton Festival parade, so your spirit becomes part of something bigger!

💙 One of the things we love most about Oliver Hind Club is being surrounded by organisations that pour their hearts into this community — and Dako Flying Angels are exactly that.
These young athletes train hard, perform brilliantly, and represent Sneinton with pride everywhere they go. We are absolutely delighted that they'll be headlining our Summer Community Fayre on Sunday 12th July 🎉

We have an exciting and varied programme of speakers lined up for June, and we would be delighted to welcome both members and visitors to join us.

Our upcoming talks include:

✨ Rotarian June Galloway sharing stories from her remarkable life and experiences

✨ A fascinating presentation on Madeira from a student completing her school Endeavour Award

✨ Jean Cragg MBE speaking about the life-saving work of the East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme

✨ An insightful talk on the important support provided by the Samaritans

We are SO excited to announce that The Grillhaus — a brilliant mobile burger stand — will be rolling up to the Oliver Hind Summer Fayre on Saturday 12th July! 🙌

"We'll be serving up our signature burgers, loaded hot dawgs, and all your Grillhaus favourites — fresh from the van!" 🔥

Whether you're coming for the food, the fun, or the fabulous DAKO Flying Angels performing at 3pm — there's something for absolutely everyone.

Alongside The Grillhaus we've got local charities & not-for-profit organisations, a MASSIVE tombola, glitter station, sweet shop, café, and for the first time ever — garden games and children's activities outside (sunshine permitting! ☀️).

We are currently selecting a small number of quality street food vendors for the Oliver Hind Community Club Summer Fayre this summer ☀️

This is a well-supported community event with strong local engagement and a fantastic family atmosphere, featuring:

🎶 Live entertainment
🎈 Children’s activities
🛍️ Market stalls
☕ Community footfall throughout the day
📣 Heavy promotion across local social media and community groups

We are specifically looking for:
🍔 Smash burgers / loaded fries
🍕 Pizza traders
🌮 Mexican / Greek / world street food
🍦 Desserts / ice cream
🥤 Specialty drinks & sweet treats

We are limiting duplicate cuisines to ensure good trading opportunities for all vendors.
