Please support the Mosaic Youth Hub whenever you do a Tesco shop!

Mosaic Youth Hub are in the customer vote for a Tesco Fruit & Veg grants. It’s a scheme which gives community projects like them grants of up to £1,500. Tesco customers will now vote in the Sleaford store during August-November to decide how much funding we get, so please support us next time you shop at Tesco!

☀️ Chop, Chat & Change is BACK! 🥕💚

We hope you’ve all been enjoying the summer! After a couple of weeks’ rest, the Chop, Chat & Change team are back in full force — and what a week it’s been! 🎉

There’s been plenty of celebrating, laughter, friendship and productivity as the group got back together. We even had a very special birthday to celebrate, with the group coming together to surprise one of our lovely members with a little celebration of our own! 🎂🥳❤️

Of course, the team have also been busy putting their skills to good use and producing another fantastic selection of food packs. This week you’ll find freshly prepared Potato Wedges and Vegetable Stir-Fry Mixes in the fridges at the Sleaford Community Grocers . 🥔🥦🥕

But Chop, Chat & Change is about so much more than preparing food. It’s a real community — people coming together, supporting one another, having fun, sharing a few laughs and making a positive difference in their community. 💚

As always a big thank you to North Kesteven District Council for their ongoing support and the inspiration and vision of GoGro CIC. A huge well done to everyone involved. It’s fantastic to have you back! 👏

💚 What a fantastic couple of weeks at Chop, Chat & Change! 🥕🥔🥦

Our incredible team of volunteers have been busy creating a whole variety of healthy, ready-to-use products for the Sleaford Community Grocers, transforming surplus and donated produce into affordable food that can be enjoyed by local people rather than going to waste.

From preparing fresh vegetables and colourful stir fry mixes to our ever-popular flavoured wedges and freezer packs, the team have worked tirelessly with enthusiasm, dedication and plenty of community spirit. 🌶️🍟

Of course, it wouldn't be Chop, Chat & Change without lots of laughter along the way... and even the odd sing-along and a little dancing! 🎶💃 It's these moments that make the sessions so special, bringing people together, building friendships and proving that tackling food waste can be fun too.

A huge thank you to North Kesteven District Councilfor their continued support, GoGro CIC for the inspiration behind the project, and, most importantly, to our amazing volunteers. Your commitment, kindness and hard work make this project what it is. 👏💚

The team will be taking a well-deserved summer break next week, but we'll be back soon, refreshed and ready to continue making a difference together.

Last week at Chop, Chat & Change, the amazing volunteers braved the heat to make a range of wedges and stir fry packs. These are now available in the Sleaford Community Grocers fridges as part of your shop. These volunteers continue to work hard to reduce food waste and make a difference in their community. Thank you as always to North Kesteven District Council for their ongoing support, to GoGro CIC for the inspiration and guidance and to Mosaic Youth Hub for the venue.

What a fantastic week at Chop, Chat & Change! 🥕🥦🥔

Last Friday, our amazing volunteers transformed surplus produce that might otherwise have gone to waste into a range of colourful and nutritious stir fry packs, helping to create affordable and convenient food options for the community whilst reducing food waste. 🌶️🍜

This Wednesday, the team were back in action preparing an impressive 70 packs of wedges and 20 packs of sliced onions, all ready to find their way into local kitchens via the Sleaford Community Grocers. 🥔🧅

Alongside the food preparation, we also took some time to reflect on the incredible journey that Chop, Chat & Change has been on. Our volunteers have been sharing their experiences and capturing their stories through individual case studies, highlighting the positive impact the project has had on their lives.

It was inspiring to hear how Chop, Chat & Change has not only benefited those who receive and purchase the food produced, but has also helped volunteers build confidence, develop new skills, make friendships and find a renewed sense of purpose. These stories are a powerful reminder that this project is about so much more than food – it's about people, community and creating opportunities for everyone involved. 💚

Another busy and productive Wednesday at Chop, Chat & Change! 🥔🥕🥦

This week our fantastic volunteers were hard at work creating a range of special stir fry selections, packed full of colour and fresh vegetables, alongside two exciting new flavours of our popular wedges – Caribbean Spice and American BBQ. 🌶️🍟

The team once again transformed surplus produce into affordable, convenient food options for the community, helping to reduce food waste while creating delicious products ready to be enjoyed at Sleaford Community Grocers.

As always, the session was filled with great conversation, plenty of laughter and a wonderful community spirit. It's amazing to see the difference that can be made when people come together to support one another. 💚
