Local businesses are what keep our town different, vibrant, interesting. Businesses are restricted to a single advertising post per week, this is just so the group isn’t overwhelmed by advertising and keeps people interested in our community activities. Anything above and beyond this will be removed. Sorry but no recruiting for MLM, more commonly known as Pyramid Schemes. We love people giving positive critique and encouragement to businesses, keep it factual and don’t look to inflame opinion. Admin and moderators decisions are final. Things don’t always go well, we all have an off day occasionally … we are all human. Remember that admin and moderators have lives too and are not necessarily online all the time, we will endeavour to respond as quickly as possible but please be patient. Admin and moderators reserve the right to lock discussions but will post a note with a reasoned explanation and may remove entries which conflict with the group’s ideals. Admin and moderators reserve the right to remove posts or content which conflict with the groups ideals without notice. If you are concerned about the intent or content of any post please use the report to admin buttons and we will act on it. In the heat of the moment cooling off periods of muting may be used against group members, we all need a break occasionally and these periods of cooling down give us a perspective “from a distance” to reassess our behaviour and consider our actions. Repeated need for muting will result in being expelled from the group. If you block an admin or moderator you will be expelled … no ifs or buts. It is not our intent to need to approve posting, though occasionally it may be needed to calm any arguments down. We shouldn’t need to because by joining the group you have agreed to be reasonable and courteous abiding by these rules. All posts containing vulnerable people (for example children or adults in nursing community care) permission must be granted by a guardian. If you have that permission then great but make sure you add to your post you have permission ... it just stops any arguments. Posting of anything illegal, disturbing images of any kind of abuse or s*xual stuff (you know what we mean) is forbidden and will result in summary expulsion and information passed to the relevant authorities. If you feel you have been treated unfairly then contact the team directly via DM and you will be listened to.
