February is LGBT+ History Month. At Coverage Care, we believe in the power of inclusion and diversity. This month we honor the rich and vibrant history of LGBT+ individuals who have made significant contributions to society.

Historically, the stories of LGBT+ people have often been overlooked, creating the false impression that these identities are new. This lack of representation can leave those who identify as LGBT+ feeling isolated and uncertain about their place in the world.
The truth is, LGBT+ people have always been here, in every society and time period around the globe. By sharing the stories of LGBT+ figures from history, LGBT+ history month aims to spread the message that these identities are enduring and that LGBT+ individuals are valued and vital members of our community.

Compassionate Communities UK are seeking LGBTQIA+ individuals to join a groundbreaking film project about end-of-life experiences, happening Feb/March 2025.

Research highlights inequities in culturally appropriate care for LGBTQIA+ people. This project aims to co-create personal film stories that spread understanding and awareness of our diverse experiences.

The project is led by LGBTQIA+ co-producers, and inspired by the 2016 Life:Moving project.

Actions reported by Covenant organisations since the October Small Steps Big Difference conference include:

- Telling all their staff about the conference
- Delivering training internally and to partners
- Redesigning their staff induction programme
- Scheduling planning meetings
- Collaborating with other organisations
