Received from the WTR event managers.

So we are nearly there! Soon it is the BIG moment! 🥳 Just as a reminder of procedure as far as streaming and socials go - we will go live on our You Tube channel. About half an hour before they are due to cross the finish line, a video will be playing confirming viewers are in the right place. As soon as we press live, the live stream will kick in right away so viewers don’t have a seperate link or anything to press. Then once the team are safely on land and interviewed, the live stream will stop. It will then be available on our You Tube channel for you use should you wish. A few hours after the team arrive I will send you a link to a Dropbox folder which contains all official photos and the official race video as well as the press release and the b-roll should you need it. We do ask you to please refrain from posting any images or screen shots of the teams finish until the official ones have been shared with you. This means top quality content is used at all times!

Continuing the M5 analogy, the lads have ploughed their way South to junction 23 of the M5 at Puriton, the turn off for Street/Glastonbury in the East and Bridgewater in the West. They would have seen both the Bridges over the river Severn, which permit Welsh people to escape the tyranny of the 20mph speed limit; passed the infamous Gordano services (breakfast location after a heavy night in Weston-Super-Mare, or was that just me???), whistled past Brent knoll, the green b**b shaped hill, that looks like a potential landing site for UFO's (I've modelled it in mashed potato; seen Glasto Tor in the far distance, and layed eyes on the now collapsing wicker man, just past the Morrisons Depot. But of course, they’re on the ocean so all they’ve seen for over 2 months is salty water, stars, sun rises, sunsets and no wildlife.

In around 12 hours they should sight land another first in over 2 months, which I’m sure will stimulate them into a big race finish and the Guinness book of World records as the oldest pair of Geezers to row across any ocean.

We still need your donations, hopefully you’ll all go crazy as you watch them cross the line tomorrow and chuck your loose change and the odd purple note into the fund.

It’s my final post tomorrow, please let me report that there has been a flurry of donations and a s**t load of money deposited in the fund.
