THANK YOU TO OUR ACOUSTIC STAGE PERFORMERS

A big thank you to Fraser and Evan, and Michael Kentish for performing on our Acoustic Stage at this year’s Shrivenham Village Fete.

Despite a rather soggy audience at times, their sets were very much enjoyed and brought some great live music to the afternoon.

Thank you for being part of the Fete. We hope to see you again!

CHILDREN’S FANCY DRESS PHOTOS

Did you take any photos of the Children’s Fancy Dress Competition at this year’s Shrivenham Village Fete?

With the heavy rain on the day, we would really like to recognise the effort all the children made to dress up and take part. There were some fantastic costumes!

If you have any photos from the competition, please add them in the comments below so we can share and celebrate their efforts.

CHILDREN’S FANCY DRESS COMPETITION 2026

A huge well done to all the children who took part in our Fancy Dress Competition at this year’s Shrivenham Village Fete.

We had some fantastic costumes and lots of very deserving winners.

Unfortunately, the weather was against us, but that didn’t stop our young Fete-goers from turning up in costume and taking part in the judging.

Thank you to every child who entered and braved the rain. You were fantastic!

If you have any photos from the Fancy Dress Competition, please share them in the comments below. We would love to see them.

THANK YOU, SHRIVENHAM!

The weather certainly wasn’t on our side yesterday, but Shrivenham Village Fete 2026 went ahead and so many of you still came along to support it.

It was great to see people enjoying the entertainment, visiting the stalls and taking part in the activities throughout the afternoon.

To everyone who came along, thank you for supporting Shrivenham Village Fete.

If you took any photos yesterday, please add them in the comments below. We would love to see them.

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO OUR FETE COMMITTEE AND VOLUNTEERS

Shrivenham Village Fete takes months of planning and preparation, followed by an early start on Fete Day to get everything ready.

This year the weather certainly added to the challenge! Our very wet and soggy Committee and volunteers carried on through the heavy rain, adapting as they went and keeping the Fete going.

There’s still work to be done as we wrap everything up, but we couldn’t let the weekend pass without recognising the time and effort that goes into making the Fete happen.

If you’ve ever thought about joining the Shrivenham Fete Committee or helping out, we’d love to hear from you. There are lots of ways to get involved.

A BIG WELL DONE TO ALL OUR YOUNG FETE-GOERS!

We loved seeing the creativity and imagination from all the children and young people who took part in this year’s Children’s Craft Competition and Fancy Dress Competition.

From the fantastic craft entries to the brilliant costumes, it was lovely to see so many of you getting involved and being part of the Fete.

A special mention must also go to the person behind our Children’s Craft Competition, who puts so much time and effort into organising everything and making sure it all runs smoothly.

If your child or young person took part, please share your photos in the comments below, we would love to see them!

And a big well done to everyone who entered. You all helped make Shrivenham Village Fete that little bit more special.

TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED MAKE SHRIVENHAM FETE 2026 HAPPEN

Yesterday’s Fete wouldn’t have been possible without the many people, businesses and organisations who played their part before, during and after the day.

Our stallholders, local businesses, charities and community groups brought a fantastic variety of crafts, gifts, produce, games, activities, information and fundraising to the Fete.

Paws For Thought, our main arena attraction, were absolutely fantastic. Despite everything the weather threw at them, they continued to entertain and put on brilliant displays throughout the afternoon.

Our other entertainment came from Highworth Silver Band, Bang to Rites Drummers, Punch & Judy and our Bar Stage musicians, alongside the many activities and displays taking place around the Fete.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Scouts, Girlguiding, St Andrew’s Church, everyone providing food and refreshments, our Grand Raffle prize donors, sponsors and all those who helped behind the scenes.

And to our stallholders, performers and organisations who carried on through some incredibly challenging weather — we really appreciated you sticking with us!

Were you there yesterday? We’d love to see your photos. Please add any you would like to share in the comments below.

There are more thank-yous to follow throughout today.
