Thank you so much to Julia Buckley MP for coming along to the annual Bayston Hill panto 🙏

We agree that the 50th anniversary event this year was truly fabulous 🎉

🎭 Oh no they didn’t… Oh yes they did!

Bayston Hill Pantomime marked an incredible 50 years of performances with a fabulous production of Sleeping Beauty, recapturing the magic of their very first show in 1976. The cast were full of energy and enthusiasm, from the cheeky Dame Didleum to the handsome Prince Kronenberg, with a brilliant mix of young performers and experienced hands bringing the story to life. Live music, excellent singing and plenty of laughs made it a real community celebration.

Judy Shone directed the show and played a key part on stage. She was also in the original production 50 years ago and every single year in between, which is an extraordinary achievement and a real testament to her commitment to the village and its pantomime tradition.

It was a pleasure to support the show and meet the cast backstage. They brought the house down with their sell out final performance, raising important funds to help maintain the Memorial Hall and giving families a wonderful shared experience.

We’re delighted to share that Bayston Hill Memorial Hall has once again retained Hallmark 1 Accreditation! 🏅

This is an accolade we’ve proudly held for a number of years, and we’re thrilled to have been awarded it again in December 2025.

Hallmark 1 recognises that our hall is well-managed, safe, and welcoming to everyone in our community. Achieving this standard year after year is a real testament to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers and committee members. 👏

Thank you to all who help keep our hall running smoothly and to our users who make it such a vibrant community space.💚

🎭✨ Sleeping Beauty – photo share! ✨🎭

We’re delighted to share a selection of photographs from this year’s February half-term pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, written and directed by Judy Shone.

This production was especially meaningful as it marked the 50th anniversary of the Bayston Hill village panto - a wonderful community tradition that continues to raise vital funds for the Memorial Hall each year!

Judy would like to send a thank you to everyone who supported the show - from the cast, crew and volunteers, to those who helped behind the scenes, sold tickets, served tea and coffee, moved scenery and, of course, to the fantastic audiences.

Your support keeps this tradition alive and helps maintain the hall for the whole community. 💛

We’d love to hear your favourite moments from the show so do comment below 👇
