We were delighted to welcome Andrea Bisset, star of the BAFTA award-winning film 'I Swear', to HMP Shotts and HMP Low Moss for two powerful Q&A sessions with those in our care.

Andrea spoke openly about living with Tourette’s and ADHD, with the sessions bringing together neurodiverse individuals, prison listeners and peer mentors for honest and thoughtful conversations.

She said: “I honestly had such a great time speaking with the guys. Most of the time when folk ask questions about Tourette’s they’re more interested in the swearing, but they wanted to know about my personal experience.

“I got the vibe that a lot of the questions were being asked to see how they could link their experiences to mine. I could honestly have sat for hours with them because the respect and interest they showed was top notch.”
