We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dr Jane Goodall, aged 91. From her first steps into Gombe National Park in 1960, Jane transformed science with her groundbreaking observations of chimpanzees in Tanzania. She went on to found the Jane Goodall Institute and inspire generations of young conservationists through Roots & Shoots. Her life’s work reshaped how we see animals, nature, and ourselves. Her legacy in Tanzania, and worldwide, will endure.

The Britain Tanzania Society's Chair, Paul Harrison, was delighted to host Tanzanian Foreign Minister Mahmoud Thabit Kombo and other dignitaries for a wonderful lunch last Friday. It was a fantastic opportunity to discuss ways to strengthen the relationship between the UK and Tanzania.

A big thank you to Minister Kombo and the entire delegation for their time and valuable conversation. We look forward to building on this positive engagement and continuing to foster strong ties between our two nations.
